Friends of Urrbrae Wetland
The Friends is volunteer group which supports the Urrbrae Wetland, a constructed wetland in Adelaide, South Australia.
Our group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings and helps maintain the Wetland. The Wetland is jointly managed by Urrbrae High School and the Mitcham City Council.
Tall Daisy or Brachyscome diversifolia in flower . We planted these this year along with some Yam Daisies but unfortunately the ducks have taken a liking to them this one has survived so far
There was a large flock of Corellas at the Wetland this week, all eating the seeds from the acacia plants.

Flowers from the Brachyscome diversifolia or Tall Daisy planted this June. It is happy growing along the roadside. Unfortunately the ducks have taken a liking to the Yam Daisies we planted nearby.

Two of our Friends preparing holes for some of the 100 plants we planted this year. Plants included 20 Themeda or Kangaroo Grass, 20 Rhagodia crassifolia or Fleshy Saltbush, 20 Snowy Copper Wire Daisies, 20 Yam Daisies and 10 Kennedia prostrata or Running Postman.

Lee and Tom, one of our newest Friends digging holes for this year's seedlings. For the first time at the Wetlands we have planted Stemodia florulenta or Blue Rod as well as Templetonia récusa or Cocky's Tongue, Senna artemisiodes or Silver Senna, Pycnosorus chrysanthemum or Golden Billy Buttons and Brachyscome diversifolia or Tall Daisy.
