In 2024 the students in our Chinese Text Creation class will complete their final year after which the Jiale Zhongwen Chinese for Families project will conclude. Many thanks and much love to everyone who has been part of this journey. For those who are interested, the blogs, photos and videos below are a brief record of and reflection on this 17 year project.

Our classes are resuming next week with all details on the website. Contact us if you would like to trial a class. Our classes are interactive and language focused, with students making significant progress over a period of time.
Below is a photo of students in our Chinese Text Creation class who last semester successfully read a short novel in Chinese (all in characters no pinyin), "In Search of Hua Ma". This gave them a great sense of achievement and we are looking forward to starting the next one in Term Three!

It was an exciting weekend for our Intermediate Level 3, Intermediate Level 4 and Chinese Text Creation students. Congratulations to our Intermediate Level 4 students who were awarded First Prize in the Chinese Language Teachers of SA Video Competition at the Awards Night on Friday night and also Intermediate Level 3 whose video entry received the Best Pronunciation and Fluency Award. Then on Sunday morning Intermediate Level 4 students took sat the HSK Level 1 and Chinese Text Creation students sat HSK 2 test at Adelaide University. 加油！Jiāyóu!

We had a lot of Dragon Boat Festival fun at both our Toorak Gardens and Seaton branches! Beautiful boats, pretend races and stories about delicious zòngzi!
We are looking forward to the traditional Chinese festival Duānwǔjié (Dragon Boat Festival) which is this Friday. It's the time to eat zòngzi and race dragon boats. Students in our Beginners classes will be making dragon boats this Saturday morning.
