‘What’s the buzz?’ is a role-play and play-based program designed to teach children the social and emotional skills used to make friendships work.
Children will learn how to:
• improve social connections
• begin and maintain relationships and friendships
• identify and work with one’s own emotions
• self-regulate emotions more productively
• appreciate self-awareness and self-identity
• navigate tricky social situations more positively and resiliently.

We are hosting our next session of ‘What’s the Buzz!’ starting the 1st May. ‘What’s the Buzz!’ is a neuroaffirming, evidenced-based, social and emotional literacy program that runs for 16 weeks. It is held every Wednesday at 4pm and is covered by NDIS funding.

Have you ever wondered what our speech pathologists work on? It’s more that just the words you say.
Sandy’s cooking class gave our recipe of the week a try during the school holidays. Look at these yummy creations by our master chefs.
What are you having for dinner? Dietitian Sandy has given us this delicious and easy chicken and rice
stacker recipe to try.
Ingredients:
White rice
Cubed chicken breasts
Tinned black beans
Olive oil for cooking
Your choice of chicken spice
Ricotta cheese
Sauce of choice
Toppings:
Green peas
Avocado
Steamed broccoli / baby spinach
Mayonnaise / grated cheese
Black / white sesame seeds for sprinkling
Need: A round cookie mold/ cutter
Direction:
1. Put 4 cups of water and 2 cups of rice in rice cooker and set to cook
2. In a bowl, mix chicken cubes in olive oil and spices
3. Place chicken cubes in air fryer tray and cook for 10 minutes at 180 degrees
4. Prepare your preferred toppings
5. Mix chicken with ricotta cheese and your choice of sauce (if desired)
6. Place your mould on a plate and layer in rice, chicken, beans and your choice of toppings however you like - get creative!
7. Gently press down on all the ingredients to make sure they are stacked well
8. Lift the mold off the plate, taking care to leave your stacker on the plate!
9. Sprinkle your stacker with seeds or sauce
10. Enioy your meal with family or friends
