The season of Spring is associated with the Element of Wood & it corresponds to the liver. As everything around us blossoms in the spring, so too should we embrace this time.
But the liver must be kept in check. Often the winter months leave some stagnant feelings, which can manifest in different areas like relationships, work or even our bodies. If there is frustration, physical pain or sadness, it may be a sign that energy is not flowing properly or optimally.

This is my trusty Yoga travel mat. Itβs super lightweight & thin so can easily fit in the case lengthways & bends easily if needed. (Gekko is the brand, & yes Australian π)
Allowing that much needed practice wherever, whenever!
My morning ritual consists of a half hour practice followed
by Komorebi (Japanese hot baths)
Off to Tokyo today for a few nights & head home Thursday.
This trip has been incredible.

My Reiki Family would be aware of Dr Usui & his 21 day Meditation & where he gained Reiki Energy.
This was very much a deep spirit quest for me, the whole area felt very sacred as soon as we disembarked the train β¦ once down we found a hidden gem, a Buddhist cafe β¦ what a great day!

Moving into week 3 with an ancient Tibetan practice βΊοΈ
The 5 Tibetan Rites are a form of Tibetan YOGA said to be more than 2,500 years old - this series of exercises was used by Tibetan monks to live long, vibrant and healthy lives. π§ββοΈ
First introduced to me by a wonderful teacher over 30 years ago - Louise Wiggins. I am most grateful to her for bringing my awareness to this practice.

WELCOME TO CHAKRA WEEK
In yoga, the life force energy (βprana") travels through the subtle body in a series of channels, called "nadis." These nadis intersect at points of intensified energy, called "chakras." Which are spinning vortexes of energy in the subtle body that correspond to various glands along the spine and inside the skull. Each chakra governs specific behaviors and values in our lives, such as material security, communication, and love. They also regulate various bodily systems, like the skeletal system. Every chakra also corresponds to an element, to a "mantra" (a "repeated syllable"), and to a specific colour along the rainbow spectrum.
