⭐ Today is R U OK? Day ⭐
This important day has been a cornerstone of mental health awareness for years. Here at The Hospital Research Foundation Group, we believe that checking in on each other should be an everyday practice. 💛
So today, we asked our team how they ensure they're okay every day. Check out their responses…💬
Remember, this simple question can save lives. Let's make it a habit to check in with those around us regularly.
Shoutout to the wonderful nurses at Lyell McEwin Hospital's Ward 1E who got behind our recent Giving Day, raising a sensational $8000 for their stroke unit! ⭐👏
PLUS, these funds have already been put to good use!! The team has been able to purchase a vital piece of equipment for their stroke patients – a bladder scanner which arrived last month. 💙
With some patients losing the ability to control their bladder or communicate effectively after their stroke, the bladder scanner takes an ultrasound of the organ to see how it’s functioning and help nurses when putting together a care plan for the patient.
An amazing achievement for all involved! 🎉🙌

🩺💙 Men, It's Time to Take Charge of Your Health! 💙🩺
Are you ignoring those nagging symptoms? You’re not alone, but it’s time to act... Men often wait too long to seek help, leading to worse outcomes.
Dr Sam Tafari’s (SA Health) groundbreaking research is tackling this issue head-on with a new questionnaire designed to help doctors catch health problems early.
🏥 Why It Matters: Men are less likely to share health issues proactively, which can delay diagnosis and treatment. Dr Tafari’s goal is to change that, making healthcare more accessible and effective for men.
🔥 Get Involved: Support this vital research by participating in Fire Up for Men's Health this September. Your involvement can help fund the tools needed to bridge the health gap and save lives.
