🇯🇵 The last few days of Operation Japan involved a lot of travel for our amazing volunteers, as they left Onomichi to return home via Tokyo. They also took the opportunity to see some more attractions and cultural sites on the way.

🇯🇵 On Operation Japan Day 10, the team immersed themselves more in the local culture as they spent their final full day in Onomichi with their host families. They ended the day by enjoying the Onomichi Fireworks Festival and providing facepainting for those gathered.

🇯🇵 On Operation Japan Day 9, our team conducted a beach clean-up with their homestay families. They then had some lunch and enjoyed some fun activities together. After a busy day, the team spent the evening relaxing with their homestay families.

🇯🇵 On Operation Japan Day 8, the team performed community service with the junior students of Onomichi High School. The team then interviewed the students to help them practise their English. They then visited some tourist and historical sites in Fukuyama and Onomichi.

As a staff team and volunteer group of nearly six hundred, we support and equip young people to make a lasting difference in their communities and the world at large.
We do so by offering direct relief to those facing serious social challenges, by providing education and training programs, by facilitating volunteer and service opportunities, by working collaboratively with local communities, and by advocating for the best interests of young people.
