๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒ Senior Sudents Integrated Learning Project ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒ

What a week it has been for our Senior students.

In HASS, Arts and Design and Technology we have been learning about how diverse and connected we are to other parts of the world.

We have explored cultural traditions, social diversity, demographic/population diversity, food and fibre and traditional artforms of various countries around the world and how these are similar and different to Australia.

We created an informational poster about our country, an art form related back to our country and an interactive task that linked back to our country to engage our visitors.

Hero for HeartKids - LNPS Fundraiser ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ

We have once again partnered with Drakes Findon to support the 'Hero for HeartKids' fundraiser.
The Hero for HeartKids foundation makes a pledge to stand up to congenital heart disease (CHD) in Australia by improving the lives and futures of those affected by this terrible disease - the real heroes, the kids born with CHD every day.

All together, we were able to raise $592.45 for this amazing cause.

Last Thursday, our girls' knockout soccer squad headed down to West Lakes Shore Primary School to compete in the first round of the competition. They played a total of three games and were competitive in each one.

Game 1; We lost to Nazareth (5-1). It was a tough battle against a very strong Nazareth side. Nazareth was very clinical with their chances and played well throughout the day. Our girls demonstrated resilience in this game, regardless of the scoreline, they maintained their effort levels and managed to apply some great pressure towards the end of the game. Armani was our only goal-scorer for the game.

Game 2; We defeated Grange Primary (5-1). Despite the scoreline, this was a pretty even game for the majority of it. Both teams had some excellent chances and both keepers made some fantastic saves to keep their teams in it. Our girls were very clinical when the chances arrived, and defended well throughout the game. Vassi scored 1 and Armani scored 4!

Game 3; We defeated West Lakes Shore (1-0). This was an important game for both teams, whoever won this game was then going to progress to the second round. It was a great game, and could have gone either way. Both teams had some excellent chances! The girls eventually had a breakthrough with Vassi launching a throw over the opposition, and Armani ran onto it and tucked it away in the bottom corner!

LNPS vs Fulham North: 3 -36
LNPS vs West Beach: 21-11
LNPS vs Allenby Gardens: 35-3

Thank you so much to our support crew who thought of everything and made sure the girls were well looked after. We were so lucky to have you there to score, time, provide oranges and cheer us on!!
