Albury IVF
Led by Dr. Scott Giltrap, the team at Albury IVF provide a comprehensive range of fertility, endometriosis & continence treatments.
Our goal is to provide these services in the most friendly, compassionate & financially manageable way, with country values
The count down is on…. In 1 week the crew will be back at the 🎈
Spread the word - we’re back and we’re still on the hunt for local donors from good stock! Our team are happy to chat and give you the info in the relaxed, Henty setting if that’s what makes it easier for blokes compared to starting the conversation with their GP (that they’re probably WAY over due to see!)
Don’t be shy - come say Hi 👋🏻
***m
What’s on for your Sunday??
We’re here at Pregnancy, Babies and Beyond! We’re not just here to say ‘Hi’ our patients who’ve become pregnant (but we do hope you come say Hi 👋🏻) We’re here for all the people who AREN’T and might be trying or thinking about it and have questions about their fertility, or pain and endometriosis but don’t think they want to see a specialist just yet - this is an easy way to chat to a nurse without the pressure!
Share / Message your friends, make sure they know we’re here today if you think this might be for them!
Mother’s Day: It’s a day where the very best AND the very hardest parts of what we do is in the forefront of our minds.
We are absolutely celebrating with our patients who’ve already become Mums today, but, we’re also thinking of those who aren’t there yet… we know your frustration, your waiting, your grief and your disappointment, but, we also know your determination, your hope, your grit and the love you’re ready to give. We hope your celebration isn’t too far away.
Today we wake up, grateful for the sacrifices that have been made by all service men and women so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.
Today we wake up, grateful for the opportunities we have to give care and support to so many local service men and women at our clinic, and their families.
Today we wake up, grateful for the beautiful hospitals and clinics we work in, remembering the Army doctors and nurses at Gallipoli operating from makeshift theatres on boats offshore, or in the field.
Today we wake up, grateful for the sunny autumn day we get to spend with our families, and the opportunity to stop and reflect on why we are closed today.
Today we wake up.
Lest we forget.
It’s officially DAY 1 of holidays for the Albury IVF staff! 🙌🏻🥂🍹🎄
Our rooms will re-open on Monday the 8th of January.
Big thanks to all of the patients, families, health professionals and administrators we’ve had the pleasure of working along side this year - we hope that Santa finds you all and you enjoy a safe and happy Christmas!
While we were enjoying some impressive cocktails at 2640 Restaurant and Bar Santa paid us an early visit - everyone got presents so we think Santa must have been feeling pretty forgiving this year, or he just forgot to check his naughty list 🤫🎅🏻
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎅🏻
Our ALBURY IVF Christmas party delivered on all the best things about the Christmas season: Sun, fun, laughs, Christmas t-shirts, friends, and of course - delicious food and drinks! We were all very happy to celebrate a big year with a relaxing day on, and by the river (and even IN the river for a few of us! 😁)
Big thanks to the AIVF staff, family and friends who generously went above and beyond to make it such a wonderful day, and to Murray River Canoe Hire and Top Tier Luxury Travel Albury for transporting our crew!
Here are some happy snaps of our day for those of you who want to admire the Christmas tshirts and kayaking prowess!
‘Cheers’ to a great year🥂from Dr Scott Giltrap and the whole Albury IVF team!
We might not get a day off for Cup day but we still make time for traditional chicken and “champagne” lunch with the team (who weren’t in theatre) and to watch the Cup - complete with hats, fascinators, roses and our version of ‘The Birdcage’ 😂🥂🍾🐎
As many of our photos over the years show, we love a theme at Albury IVF - we always find something to celebrate!
Nic went all out at work today (which we love!) showing her support for the magpies in the Grand final tomorrow!
In NSW we didn’t get the Grand Final public holiday today, BUT, we do have Monday off in NSW for Labour Day 🎉 We’ll all be back in the office and on the phones on Tuesday!
Go Pies!
For our The Border Mail subscribers - this is a great article that highlights the fun we’re having at the , AS WELL AS the serious side to why we’re there! Egg and S***m donation is life changing - and life giving - for women or couples who need it, but the awkwardness and stigma around it is a huge barrier to access and availability! That is why we’ve got our Doctors, Scientists and Nurses out of the Lab and out at in their boots and caps, having a chat, having a laugh, removing the stigma and breaking down those barriers - it’s all about starting the sometimes awkward conversations in order to create awareness and opportunity!
We’re proud to be starting the conversation, providing people with information and hopefully one day seeing families created from conversations that started at the
Farmers asked if they can lend a hand to support s***m donor program Healthy, sound specimens, with a good temperament need apply!
We’ve met lots of great people today!
It’s all about harvesting at
Having a BALL at
The flyers, the t-shirts, the signage, balloons, more balloons and those stress balls all cheekily themed to start a conversation with our greater farming community at . We are certainly opening some eyes, starting a lot conversations and providing plenty of impromptu s*x education while we’re here at There’s a lot of good people here!
We’re going to the Henty field days!!!
Why, you might ask, would a fertility clinic have a stand at the Henty Field Days???
Well, we’ve heard there’s ”a lot of good people there!!!” …And we are looking for good people who might be willing to ’lend a hand’ and become a donor - because sometimes it takes some EXTRA ‘good people’ to make little people!
So if you come from good stock and you’ve got some extra tadpoles in your Dam, some eggs you can spare, or even an empty oven - come talk to us!! We can give you the info and the answers so you can decide if s***m donation, egg donation or even surrogacy is right for you!
Everyday is IVF day for us…. But World IVF day is definitely a day worth celebrating! 25th July is
We are so grateful for the science, the skill, the research and above all, the opportunity to create, maintain and restore hope for people in our community who need a bit of extra hope in their fertility journey
Look at this Beautiful lady - almost ready to POP! You know what that means…..
With Holly so close to heading off on maternity leave, we are going to start interviews for a new administration and reception position. We will be offering an ongoing position, not just a maternity contract, because we need to expand our admin team in line with the businesses growth anyway!

Did you see our wonderful Nursing Team The Border Mail???? Have a read! 🗞️
It’s a fantastic piece by The Border Mail who were doing a feature on ‘getting to know your local health professionals’ and highlighted just how lucky we are to have such an incredible and experienced nursing team looking after our patients.

To ALL our Mums… Happy Mothers Day 💐
We want to say a special THANK YOU to all the Mums: Nurses, Doctors, Admin and Management, who are there for our patients, there for their own kids, there to keep the household going and there for each other - day in day out (and with a smile 😊)! We know some days it’s hard to do it all, but you are all amazing!
We hope you were all shown lots of love, gratitude and were spoilt like this Mum by Thistle & Fern
Re-sharing this article again this year because the message will always be relevant. We love mums. We want to help people become Mums. We want to celebrate mums, and celebrate with mums. BUT we always want to mindful that we don’t all have the same experiences ❤️
‘It’s everywhere’: Surviving Mother’s Day in the face of loss For many who no longer have their mothers around, Mother’s Day can be a truly traumatic time – but there are ways to navigate it.
We have many patients who are current serving members of the Australian Defence Force, or are connected to the ADF through husbands, wives and family.
Our own Albury IVF staff has many connections to the Australian Defence Force through husbands, parents and children.
In fact, when you start to talk to people about ANZAC day, or the Australian Defence Forces, you quickly realise that almost everyone has, or feels a connection through someone.
This is why we do not open today, and instead take time to reflect, remember and appreciate, the past, and present, serving members.
Lest we forget.

As today is a Public Holiday our clinic will be closed. It’s going to be a hot one so if you need us it might be best to get your floaty and head to the local pool, the river, the weir or a creek somewhere where - because that’s where you’ll most likely find us!
Stay safe if you’re cooling off. Slip, Slop, Slap. We’ll be back in the office tomorrow morning!
🎵🎶 On the 12th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me….
Time to spend with our family 🎵🎶
Hoping everyone has had a wonderful Christmas Day filled with good food shared with people they love!
We‘re all officially signing off for the week to spend time with family and friends and enjoy some RnR! Thanks for sharing our Christmas countdown! 🎁🎄🎅🏻
🎶🎵 On the 11th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me….
11 staff to say ‘Happy Christmas Eve!’ 🎶
There are many more behind the scenes, but on our last day for 2022 we managed to convince the 11 staff who were there to put on some Christmas headwear and pose for a photo to say “Merry Christmas” to all our patients, families, friends, business partners, and everyone who is following along here on our socials!
We hope Santa finds you all tonight 🎅🏻
🎵🎶 On the 10th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me….
Actually, there’s nothing today. Day 10 is a bit different. No poor attempts at rhyming, no funny pictures, just an important message to our patients because we know Christmas isn’t all cocktails and silly elf photos, and just because overall it has been a great year as a team for Albury IVF - we are acutely aware that doesn’t mean it’s been a great year for all of our patients. For some, 2022 wasn’t their year, and this Christmas might be tough.
Christmas, like a lot of celebratory times spent with family and friends, can be challenging for people - especially people who may be experiencing the grief of a miscarriage, the grief of an IVF cycle that didn’t result in the pregnancy they desperately hoped it would, or the struggle and pain of wishing more than anything that this was the year they had baby news to share with family and friends - but they don’t.
These feelings are really hard.
Maybe your sister in law will be whinging on Christmas Day about her sore b***s and how tired she is because of her pregnancy and you just want to tell her to shut up! Maybe one of your best friends put up a cute Christmas themed pregnancy announcement on Insta and you really want to feel happy for her, but you just can’t. Maybe no one knows you’ve recently experienced a pregnancy loss and you’re trying to put on a brave face and forget about it so everyone can just have a nice Christmas….
All these things are REALLY hard.
Your grief is real. Your feelings are justified. If you feel comfortable, talk about things with your loved ones. If you’ve lost a child, you don’t have to silently watch other children receiving gifts and pretend you’re ok that your child isn’t there too - it’s heartbreaking. Give yourself permission to only do what you feel comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to acknowledge and honour what you’ve been through, or your child who’s not here, if that is what YOU want to do.
We have huge respect for every single one of our patients and families who are working through their fertility journey. Whether it’s been 6 months of trying, or 6 years. It can be a hard road.
Be kind to yourself this Christmas 💙
🎵🎶 On the 9th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me….
9 days of our Elf making a scene! 🎶🎵
As we’re now closed for the year I trust our little Elf friend has headed back to the North Pole to tell Santa how good we’ve all been! 🎅🏻
The elf on the other hand….. well…. Lets just hope he wasn’t trying to get onto Santa’s “nice list”
🎵🎶 On the 8th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me…..
8 local venues for food, drinks and coff-ee 🎵
Albury IVF is a locally owned business. The business model is centred around a focus on offering quality, personal service for the local community. As part of this model we always seek to support other locally owned businesses where we can!
Here are 8 wonderful local cafes and restaurants where we have chosen to hold meetings, host functions, purchase catering from, and Caffeinate our staff! 🍹🥂☕️🙌🏻
🔹Joel and team at 2640 Restaurant and Bar
🔹Jacqui and team at Meraki Kitchen
🔹Ben and team at DinDins
🔹Jodie and Steve at Ebden & Olive
🔹Dylan and team at The Brekkie Box
🔹Wassim and team at La Maison

🎵🎶 On the 7th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me….
7 photos of ADORABLE bay-bies! 🎶🎵
Ok, truth be told, there has been many more than 7 newborns arrive this year to families who have been part of our clinic, but I know of at least 7 beautiful photos we’ve received from proud parents sharing their arrival with us!
If you’ve been part of our clinic, or you’re currently going through your fertility journey with us, never underestimate how much our doctors and nurses truly love hearing your news and seeing your photos! 🥰 Don’t stop!!
For privacy, we will never share a photo you send us, but if anyone wants to share their little Albury IVF bubbas here please feel free to - it would be so lovely to see them all because we, and people following, appreciate the journey you’ve been on to get there! 🤱🏻
🎶🎵 On the 6th day of Christmas Albury IVF gave to me…
6 new faces to add to our team! 🎶🎵
Since opening in August 2021 we have grown from a staff of 6: 1 Doctor, 1 Scientist, 2 nurses and 2 admin staff, to now an incredible team of 25+ spread over three sites!
Our growth just in the later part of this year has been incredible - a beautiful new building meant new doctors, plus permanent rooms in Wagga has meant we’ve been needed to grow our team adding admin staff, nurses, embryologists as well as now having a permanent admin staff member and a second nurse at our partner clinic Riverina IVF .
Welcome: Aimee (Nursing + Baker extraordinaire!),Nicole (Finance), Sue (Administration), Deepikaa (Laboratory), Katie (Administration, Wagga) and Belinda (nursing, wagga)
