The Ballarat Wildcats participate in the Ballarat Basketball Association, we have teams in almost every age group and level in the competition.

We have our own training facility on the Ray Borner Court at the Eastwood Leisure Complex, Eastwood St Ballarat. Our facility include a fitness room and seperate meeting room.

It’s time to celebrate our Wildcats!
Please book your child’s spot for the end of season celebrations and presentations by using the links / QR codes for their correct age group which you will find in the comments. These will also be available on the website soon!
Unfortunately we can only accomodate our players, no siblings. Parents are more than welcome to stay for presentations, which will be towards the end of the session.
For the U19’s presentation we ask for parents to call Oscars and book their own tables if attending.

Congratulations to Gem Gale who is one of our U19 players, a coach and also a Wildcats committee member. Gem was selected to go to Perth to play in the Victorian squad for The SEDA Cup and was a part of the winning team, coming away as a national Seda Cup champion.
Gem was also nominated for a Ballarat Youth award in the ‘personal growth’ category which she won and also took out the ‘Ballarat Major Youth’ award!
Gem is off to the USA in November on a basketball tour. Well done Gem! We are all looking forward to you coming back with all you learn and continue to teach and share your love of the game with our youngsters at Wildcats!
The brother of Isaac Reath who plays for one of our Wildcats U19 teams, Yual is competing in the Paris Olympics in the high jump tonight, and will televised at 6:05pm.
Let’s get behind him and cheer loudly! What an achievement!! Good luck Yual!

Welcome back!! We hope you had a great school holidays and a restful break.
We have a few things …
1. All registration and game fee’s are now overdue. If you could please take care of these outstanding amounts asap that would be greatly appreciated. The second half of the game fee requests will be getting sent out very soon.
2. For training could you please make sure your shoes are dry before entering the stadium and that you are wearing appropriate footwear. Remember your drink bottles and we ask that you don’t bring your own basketballs.
3. Make sure you check your game times and venues. There has been some changes!

The rule is that if a team/spectator is looking to record/photograph a game at any point then they need to ask for permission from the opposition team prior to the game.

This is for last seasons players who were measured up and ordered for and haven’t picked them up yet.
Another uniform order will be placed very soon for new players for new uniforms.
I’m sure you can all appreciate this has been a mammoth task with many volunteer hours being put in to make this happen for players and our club. We are doing our very best to accomodate everyone.

We won’t have the new uniforms for you, however we will have old uniforms until we make a new order within tbe next month. Jerseys will be at a cost of $50 and the club will swap these over as soon as we have new ones for you.

IMPORTANT UNIFORM UPDATE: please read!
Hello Everyone,
Due to unforeseen circumstances all of our new uniforms haven’t been delivered. We only have half the shipment in our hot little hands, thanks to a swift drive down the highway by The President to pick them up. We are still waiting for the remaining shipment, fingers crossed they come early next week!
We are still having the uniform shop open Saturday 20th April from 10am - 2pm, however we only have the shorts for pick up & payment.
Monday night for new players to the club is still on and we are also opening up Thursday 25th April (Anzac Day) from 5pm - 8pm.
Hopefully by Thursday we have everything delivered.
We can’t apologise enough for the inconvenience however it is out of our hands. We are working overtime to try and get the new uniforms out to you all as quickly and smoothly as possible.

IMPORTANT UNIFORM UPDATE!
PLAYERS FROM LAST SEASON ONLY:
If you could come to Eastwood Leisure Centre this Saturday 20th April between 10am and 2pm, to return your old uniform and receive your new one. Wildcats are covering the cost of your playing singlets however there will be a charge of $35 for shorts.
NEW PLAYERS TO THE CLUB:
If you could come to Eastwood Leisure Centre on Monday 22nd April between 4pm and 7.30pm to receive your uniform. Whilst there we can size you up for the new uniform.
There will be a $50 charge for your playing singlets on the day. We will swap them over to the new singlets once we have received the second round of new uniforms order.
There will also be an option to order new shorts online for $35.
Ordering and changing over to new uniforms has been a massive undertaking. We are sure there will be some teething problems during the transition so we ask that you be patient and kind if problems do arise.

What a weekend for our Wildcats!
We were represented right across the state.
🥈Declan Yovich, Alex Dekker and Webster Kydd all represented Ballarat Miners at the Country Champs in Bendigo, coming away with a silver medal.
🥇Alex Ponsonby & Brady Banks represented us in an U12’s DPS team at the Whittlesea Junior Autumn Classic and came away as Champions!
🥈Cassie Scott & Dakodah Pearce played in the same tournament in an U16’s DPS team and came runners up.
🥉Al who plays in our U19A grade side played for the Vic Country team and came away with a bronze at the National Championships. Good job Al!
🥇Wally Scott reffed at Country Champs and was awarded a grand final game in U12 girls Division 5.
A big congratulations to you all. You’ve done us proud!
