About the role

The position is available for an all-rounder dental assistant which will include the following:
-Assist dentist in clinical treatment
-Prepare treatment rooms for daily procedures
-Sterilising and following the guidelines of all infection control protocols
-Reception duties, answering phone, accounts
-Good Computer skills

Skills and experience

We are seeking an energetic and friendly team member who has experience/certificate III in dental assisting and can show the following personality traits and characteristics:
-People management skills, the ability to interact with patients and fellow team members
-Demonstrates accuracy and has a good eye for detail
-The ability to work in a team environment and show initiative
-Is able to work in a busy environment and be able to maintain performance under pressure
-Flexibility to cope with changes in the practice quickly
-Show compassion, be genuine and caring towards patients and the team
-Be committed and demonstrate you have a great work ethic

Your application will include the following questions:

How many years' experience do you have as a dental nurse or assistant?

Have you completed a qualification in dental assisting?

Do you own or have regular access to a car?

Dentistry is an essential service and dental services will remain accessible for the Brisbane community during lockdown.

Sheppard Dental has decided to defer all non urgent treatments on Saturday 9th January and Monday 11th January 2021.
We will be available on Monday 11th January for urgent dental treatments.
We will resume all dental treatments on Tuesday 12th January at this stage.
