An excellent turnout for the Childhood Cancer Support (‘CCS’) charity golf day, Wilson Cup.

Arrow White is the proud gold sponsor of CCS, and we would like to extend a big congratulations to their dedicated team for successfully raising $79,865.19!

Children and their families are provided with essential support services by CCS during cancer treatment.

The Wilson Cup pays homage to the Late Mark Wilson, who was an avid supporter of CCS and the great work they do.

To toast and celebrate Mark, the players donned uniform Hawaiian shirts.

Are you prepared for the eConveyancing mandate commencing 20 February 2023?

Several instruments that are registrable with Titles Queensland, including buying and selling a home, transfers, and caveats (new, withdrawal), will be required to take place using an ELN (electronic lodgement network).

Our conveyancing team are proud early adopters of eConveyancing, with some staff having worked with online platforms such as PEXA for several years.

While our firm predominantly effects eConveyancing settlements, our office held a paper settlement on the premises as recently as last week as it is still offered by our firm, although very rarely is it requested.

Now it is time to reflect on the fact that that may be the last paper settlement that we undergo in light of the looming eConveyancing mandate, marking the end of an era.

eConveyancing presents a drastic shift from “paper settlements”, however it is a positive one.

Some of the positives we have found are that:
data is shared in real time
documents being shared in the same place means that there is little to no need to attend the numerous locations associated with paper settlements
extra time can be spent on data verification processes

Curtis is an integral part of the property and commercial team at Arrow White.

Recently, Curtis has been working on a broad range of property matters. This is an inherent part of being a property lawyer, as property law is a vast body of law.
