Problems Claire can help with include urinary leakage, frequency, rushing to the toilet (urgency), needing to strain, too frequent and too infrequent bowel motions, incomplete emptying of the bladder or bowels, dragging feelings in the pelvis or just needing advice.

The sooner a person sees a pelvic health physio, the easier it is to sort out the problems. However even if you have been experiencing these issues for some time, we can usually help. We understand these things are hard to talk about but they are very common problems.
A physical assessment of the pelvic floor may involve an internal examination but if you are not comfortable with this, we can definitely do other assessments including an ultrasound check on the lower abdomen.
Both men and women can be affected by these problems.

Introducing Grace Ling (Adult and Paeds Occupational Therapist)! Grace can assess and provide Occupational Therapy for NDIS clients and Medicare Clients of all ages. Short wait times currently for kids at Medsana.
Support is tailored to your child's needs. OTs can improve activities like dressing, social participation, organisation skills, using the toilet, eating a meal, playing games and preparing for school.
Grace can undertake special assessments and perform sensory profiles as required.

Meet Our New Exercise Physiologist - Yaasmin

Yasmin graduated as an accredited Exercise Physiologist in 2020 and has since gained experience in providing person-centred practice to rural and aged communities and the Queensland Police Service.

Yasmin’s passion lies in understanding the individual and their environment, and how mental health impacts the physical body. Exercise is a great way to live a healthier and happier life and helps build resilience for everything that happens in between.

Regular walking can help us to stay motivated, creative and healthy for work - so step into action with us on Friday 1 September! Here are some ways you can participate whether you are working from home, or from the office:
- Use your public transport as usual, get off a few stops earlier than usual and walk the rest of the way to work.
- Park your car further away from work.
- Walk the kids to school instead of the usual school drop-off
- Take some time to go for a walk at lunchtime
