Congratulations Dr Rachel for completing the 50km Guzzler Half Full Ultra! 🤯
We’re so amazed by Rachel’s achievement. For this challenge, she ran a distance of 50km with an overall elevation of 2,100+ metres.
Now that’s dedication! 👏
What does it mean to embrace Lifelong Learning? 📖
New understandings don't only come from digesting new content. Sometimes revisiting a book or podcast, or some lecture notes, can reveal a new perspective.
Two keys to learning are an open mind and critical thinking. 💭
How do you live out continual learning?
How do we help people come to the point of Baptism? How can we help those baptised continue into lifelong discipleship? 💭
Come explore questions like these at our 'Baptism, Dedication and Confirmation' training workshop for Pastors, Elders, and anyone interested in this ministry.
Please be sure to register so that you receive the free course materials beforehand.

It was great to welcome students back to the college this week as Semester 2 kicks off. 🏈
A dozen new faces and familiar ones back for more! We worshipped and shared lunch together, enjoyed some good old library orientation, and settled into classes to stretch our thinking. ✨
A mindset that perceives mistakes and challenges as opportunities for growth can be life-changing. ✨
We hope you're feeling refreshed and renewed for Semester Two at Trinity. 😊
Whether you've enjoyed a well-deserved break after Semester One or are beginning your tertiary journey with us tomorrow - we welcome you! ✨
The countdown to Semester Two is on! 🤩
Our team has been busy preparing for our students' return and we can't wait to see everyone's friendly faces next week.
We hope you enjoy the final days of holidays. 🤗
How can we understand love through the Bible? 🤍
Dr Jamie Smith offers his insight in our "Fruit of the Spirit" podcast episode, "Love."
We often understand love in the Bible as sacrificial, as evidenced by the story of Jesus. However, this true and pure love does not always come easy to us.
Listen to the full episode on SoundCloud to learn how we can love more purely.

What is discipleship? What does it look like in our world today? 🤔It’s a tough question! Dr Rachel Krohn can give us a nudge in the right direction.
In an insightful Bible study, Rachel Krohn nudges us in the right direction when she says:
1️⃣ What is discipleship?
“Discipleship is a process by which our entire embodied existence becomes more fully aligned with the purposes of God; discipleship is the means by which Jesus becomes Lord of all we are.”
2️⃣ What does it look like in our world today?
“It involves devoting ourselves to understanding the scriptures and living by them, sharing everything in common, meeting together for prayer and table fellowship, and service.”
If you’re interested in diving deeper into this topic, check out the full version of Dr Rachel’s response! 🤗

Did someone say freebies? 🤯
That’s right, we’re offering you a free foundational unit next semester! If you’re considering studying Theology, this is the perfect way to test the waters.
All you have to do is reach out to our team and choose between an introductory unit to the Old Testament or New Testament.
See you in class next semester! 🤗
Thank you, Helen, for your faithful service at Trinity College. 🧡
In our final chapel for semester 1, we said thank you and farewell to Helen as she enters her retirement (for real this time!). We can safely say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane:
🟠 July 2021: Helen was inducted to the Queensland Synod as a Chaplain at Trinity College while continuing to teach in Pastoral Care and Ministry units
🟠 2023: Helen retired after 30 years of ordained Ministry, with 16 years in the Uniting Church of Australia QLD Synod
🟠 June 2023: we were grateful to have Helen re-enter Trinity College to relieve the role of Acting Dean of Formation
Thank you again, Helen, for your incredible contributions to the college, our students, and staff. We will miss you!
During the semester break, we encourage you to reflect on your ability to succeed in your studies and show resilience.
We applaud you for your hard work and remind you that, in time, your work will be rewarded. ✨
As we reflect on the end of Semester One, we want to congratulate all of our amazing and dedicated students for completing their assessment week!
We’re so proud of everyone’s achievements and we hope you enjoy a well-deserved break.
What are your plans for the break? 🤗

Yes! He is risen!
We may not fully understand it yet, but we know the promise: Life has defeated death. Guilt and shame have been banished. Yes!
Happy Resurrection Sunday from Trinity College QLD.
On Good Friday, we take a sober look at ourselves as we stand beneath his cross. Who are we without Jesus? Where do we turn? What other source of hope is there?

We started this week with our first Research Seminar for the year, attended by a room full of eager minds.
Charles Ringma launched his new book, In the Midst of Much Doing, and Jameson Ross presented a paper entitled, “Bonhoeffer on Reformation Today”.
It was a great opportunity for networking between ministers, students and faculty as we welcomed visitors from local churches and other colleges.
We look forward to meeting again at our next event, so stay tuned for the details!

Our Story
Trinity College Queensland’s faculty is deeply convinced about the basic teachings of the Christian faith. We stand in the mainstream of a long tradition that, for us, too, works well at explaining the world and helping us negotiate it in a way that brings life, light, joy, harmony, and productivity.
Our tradition welcomes the most serious and searching of questions, and we want to welcome you to ask them. Our faculty and students purposefully interact with others who don’t share our beliefs. We’re intent on understanding alternative views with the hope that we will gain greater clarity on the truth.
