Additionally, Deputy Head of the Department Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management, Professor Kevin Filo, was named equal seventh worldwide for his scholarly contributions to outlets Journal of Sport Management, Sport Management Review and European Sport Management Quarterly.

New research from the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics reveals a surprising downside to the Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) exemption on electric vehicles (EVs). While the exemption aims to boost EV adoption and cut emissions, it turns out it's mostly benefiting those who can already afford these eco-friendly rides.
Key findings:
- The $205 million tax exemption disproportionately helps high-income earners.
- Employees using this scheme might face higher income tests for government entitlements.
- Some may even see increased Medicare and Higher Education Contribution Scheme payments.

EV tax break suits top tax brackets, leaving the rest in the dust - Griffith News Projected to cost $205 million to the public purse, research finds the tax incentive to encourage the uptake of EVs is inequitable.
