Australia Sailing looking for up to 3 teams for NACRA 15 youth squad

The Youth Squad supports the work being done by Clubs and Classes to develop their talented young sailors and helps more effective talent identification for the Performance Pathway.

The Youth Squad is not a part of the Australian Sailing High Performance program but does play a crucial role in developing club sailors as they look to become what is known as “categorised” athletes. The intent of the Youth Squad is to allow more sailors (in larger squads) to access quality coaching and work together towards competing internationally.

NACRA Sailing will be offering a limited number of charter boats for the 2025 F18 Worlds in ZVN NOORDWIJK in Netherlands between 5th and 11th July 2025.

Three boats are already booked by Teams.

Due to the large growth of the Nacra15 class throughout the Pacicic region below is a suggested event in Tahiti!
The head of the sports section of the Arue Sailing School located in Tahiti is proposing a sailing event in April 2025 and looking for expressions of interest.
They are proposing a sports competition in multihulls with Nacra 15s for 5 days in Tahiti. This could allow a gathering of the different teams from the Pacific for a unique event in Tahiti.
It will be named the "Pacific Championship 2025". with the Nacra 15 series, but also for the youngest on Hobie Dragoon Xtrem (13' sports multihull for 9/14 year olds) but also on Hobie 16.
So a big multihull event for 3 defined series Hobie Dragoon, Nacra 15 and Hobie 16.
In terms of dates, it is suggested to organize the event from Wednesday April 2 to April 6, 2025 at the Arue Sailing School with a racing area located in Matavai Bay.
For the transport of equipment, they have contacted their main partner CMA-CGM who has given them their agreement to take charge of transporting the boats from Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia in 40' HC containers. The same goes for returning the equipment to your home. Thanks to them, this will allow us to gather a lot of Nacra 15s on a starting line in Tahiti.
In order for them to start organizing the event, they need to know if:
• Are the dates good ? We presume yes in Nz.
• Are there any competitors interested in going from NZ?
• Would you agree to put your boats in the 40' containers to participate in the event?
