Highlands is our flagship Kenyan project that showcases the classic hallmarks of fruit forwardness and full body that we know and love from this special origin. Ripe and rich dark stone fruits are layered over sweet citrus while a wine like texture carries these rich flavours all the way to the finish.

‘Highlands’ is the result of years of careful selection and calibration with our partners in Kenya to arrive at a profile that is not only highly expressive, but incredibly consistent year after year.

Sweet and sessionable, this Washed Pacas from long term partner Fredy Castellanos makes for an easy drinking brew that you could drink all day long. Excellent both with or without milk. La Cumbre is a small farm owned and run by Edgardo Reyes and family. The farm is perched at 1770 metres above sea level near the town of El Cielito, which translates to 'little heaven.' After our first visit in 2018, we felt this description matched perfectly.

At this altitude, misty clouds frequently surround the region which not only lend an ethereal atmosphere to the already beautiful region but also help to maintain cool temperatures which enable longer drying times and the increased development of flavour that make this coffee especially intriguing.

Now in to our fifth year buying from Edgardo, we are excited to see this evolve as one of our principle relationships in Honduras.

Geisha Heirloom is one of our favourite concept seasonal blends; an exploration of the unique and expressive flavours that only come from Heirloom varieties and their descendants in the Coffea Arabica species.

‘Heirloom’ broadly encompasses the thousands of different traditional varieties that grow wild in the forests and fields of Ethiopia and also now found around the world in quality-centric origins such as Colombia, Panama, El Salvador and Costa Rica.

Compared to hybrid varieties, Heirloom coffees require greater care from the producers, very specific growing conditions and generally have lower yields. The final result in the cup however is unmistakable for its authentic complexity and nuanced, exotic flavours.
