JC was first exposed to hip hop in 1979 when his childhood friend whose mother was then intern at Capitol Records, Los Angeles, gifted JC a pre-release 12” copy of Sugarhill Gangs 'Rappers Delight'. As this was the first major label recorded and released rap song the event cemented Jordan as being born and raised into the Rock n' Roll of his generation, Hip Hop Culture. Immigrating from Los Angeles to Australia in 1989, JC became an unintentional ambassador of Hip Hop Culture during it's world wide growth from the hoods of America into the new millennium global village. With the Cali accent, style and first hand knowledge of the culture JC had the advantage of staying true to the art of rap as a leader and pioneer in the advancement of the key cultural movement of a culminating century, Hip Hop Music.
