A special thank you goes to Joe Kelly MP and Tim Nicholls MP, the co-chairs of The QLD Parliamentary Friends of Latin America, for their invaluable support in making this event possible at the prestigious Parliament House. We would also like to express our deep appreciation to Trade and Investment Queensland for their support, and Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC), for sponsoring the event.

We want to give a special shout-out to Mario Eraso Mosquera for his exceptional work at the event and to Rob Whiddon for his unwavering support, guidance, and leadership throughout the entire journey.

The expo brought together business owners, skilled migrants, government officials, and key stakeholders from diverse industries and backgrounds. With over 25 business stalls and an incredible turnout of more than 400 participants during the event, including government representatives, ministers, members of parliament, and Latin American ambassadors from Argentina, Chile, and Peru, as well as different members from the Consular Corps of Queensland. This event provided an exceptional platform for networking and fostering partnerships.

We were honored to have the presence of esteemed guests, including The Deputy Premier Hon Cameron Dick, Treasurer of the state of QLD and Minister for Trade and Investment, David Crisafulli MP leader of the QLD LNP, and the CEO of the Australia Latin American Business Council, Kim Prior.

We firmly believe that your participation in the QLD Parliamentary Friends of Latin America/Hola Networking Expo 2024 will greatly contribute to promoting and strengthening the relationship between Queensland and Latin America.

From the various regions and farms of Colombia they are able to hand pick the best coffees to exhibit the country’s diverse profiles and qualities, allowing them to be the sole hero of every batch and blend we roast.

Since their coffee is bought through direct trade, they are able to build strong relationships with the farmers. Collaborating with them each harvest to improve the quality of their product paying and them a premium for it. roasted in their solar powered warehouse with confidence that cafetal´s coffee is sustainable through every step of its journey.

Thanks to their close working relationship with green coffee suppliers and their connection to origin they are able to bridge the divide between coffee drinkers and the farms their coffee comes from. Sharing understanding of coffee growing, processing, and roasting cafetal hope to help our customers develop their appreciation and understanding of their coffee’s journey from farm to cup.

The Hola Kids GC mission is to promote the use of Spanish language in children, to maintain Latin America cultural heritage through our Cultural Language School and events organized for the Gold Coast Community. Our language, history and common values bring us together.

They provide language and cultural classes every second Saturday to pre-school and School children. Organizing workshops for children such as drama, gardening, Latin American dance classes, yoga all in Spanish and free community events for some festivities throughout the year.

Holakids GC Inc. was born as an initiative of a group of Latin American women who saw the need of creating a space for their children to learn and practice Spanish, create friendships, and experience cultural activities within a community that children identify with.
