With the mid season well upon us, we have the ‘Seasiders’ junior teams doing really well. This is down to all the hard work and commitment from not only our coaches/managers but parents, players and supporters. We are in the fortunate position of having a group of players being selected for the LNJSA County Week to be held in Perth later this year. It takes a lot of time and commitment and for that we are thankful. Please join me in congratulating the following players who have been selected this year, Euwan, Campbell, Sonny, Cooper, Levi, Stewie, Ari and Josh.
For those who didn’t get selected, just keep trying and putting in the effort, it will come. But most of all, enjoy the second half of the season. Let’s Go GEO ⚽️🟠⚫️⚽️

Club President Andy.

A home game for GBFC Div 1 Mens team today at Barnard Park saw them take on Manjimup Rovers. A very early goal gave Geo confidence coming off a hard game last week, this confidence flowed through with a penalty seeing GBFC going into half time 2-0. Second half the Rovers answered back bringing it to 2-1, with another 2 goals to GBFC saw them with a win 4-1 at full time. Well done GBFC⚽️⚽️🏆🏆

A new beginnings the Geographe Bay Football Club Seasiders Under 15s team is reborn, our day of this new team coming together to take to the field on a hot April day facing a very strong Dunsborough team. Taking to the field adorned with a new bright orange and black kit made a great impact, thanks to our sponsors Margaret River Panel Beaters, Oban and Sportspower Busselton.

Parents lined gathered along the sidelines to offer support and encouragement to a team in their infancy who displayed great potential and determination. Dunsborough sent a strong message they were there to win and to set the bar high, but our GBFC U15s never dropped their heads. Some strong saves in the goals by Euwan. Our maiden goal was to come with a cracking assist to set up Zakariya to score, this was just what we needed to lift the mood.
A great first game with many aspects of the game to work on over the next few weeks.

Well done U15 Seasiders,

First League game of the season for the Geo Bay Seasiders Youth League team today in the hot midday sun. Looking smart in the fresh new kits thanks to Sponsors Margaret River Panel Beaters, Oban and Sportspower.

We knew we were in for a tough day going up against a well fancied Cornerstone team. A large crowd gathered with great support for both teams spread the length of the field. After some tense early exchanges the Cornerstone Crabs hit the lead with a well taken strike on 5 minute to put them 1 up. The boys regrouped and didn’t let heads drop and soon got into the groove with some great one touch football, after 15 minutes we were level with a well worked goal and cool finish by #26 Josh Teasdale. The boys really upped the intensity and let The crabs know they were here to play. In the later stages of the first half and a sweetly struck shot from #9 Stewie Pearce saw us go into half time 2-1 up.

A combination of the heat and only one substitute meant the game really opened up in the second half with both teams starting to find more gaps as legs tired. A couple of solid saves from our awesome keeper Ben Wind were pivotal. Stewie Pearce pushed the attack and added a fantastic strike to the top corner to see the score at 3-1. A solid #17 Ari Copeman added the 4th goal with a great cross from Josh Teasdale and well taken finish by Ari. A late rally by Cornerstone saw Ben Wind make a couple more solid saves.

A solid start to what is going to be a really close run season. Great start though by the boys. Margaret River awaits us next weekend.
