✨ Bodhi Tree, Lumbini ✨
14yrs ago today I was lucky enough to travel to Nepal & India & visit this amazing Bodhi tree where Siddhartha Gautama found enlightenment & became Buddha!
It was only a few months after my dad died & it was an emotional & truly moving experience travelling to this beautiful country.
Have you been travelling somewhere in the world that had taken your breath away?
Amanda 🙏
Sitting in the sun reading by Catherine Bell & oh it’s so amazing!!
“The journey is important. How we get to the destination leaves a mark, it becomes the foundation for the next adventure. The way we experience birth stays with us for the rest of our lives. Being INFORMED is the first step to a positive experience of pregnancy, birth & beyond!’
Highly recommend her book & birth map game.

Over the year or so I have been seed cycling with amazing products from .
I wish I had these amazing products on hand when I was transitioning in early motherhood
Mel from will be at my next Mumma Community Connect workshop & sharing all her knowledge on postpartum hormone health & beyond.
Here is an article on seed cycling during pregnancy & postpartum:
‘Seed cycling postpartum can help you soften the postpartum emotional changes. Progesterone drops off almost immediately after delivering the placenta.
Your ovaries will not start creating progesterone again until your first menstrual cycle, which may create a temporary imbalance.
The Signs of a Hormonal Imbalance after Pregnancy: Sometimes, pregnancy and childbirth can cause your hormones to become a bit out of whack. In these cases, you might need some help getting back on track.
Some symptoms you might experience if you’re dealing with a postpartum hormone imbalance:
- Chronic fatigue
- Anxiety and depression
- Weight gain
- Cysts or fibroids
- Low libido
Customers who have seed cycled postpartum have told us they have noticed:
- Little to no postpartum acne and my skin looks fuller and healthier.
- Sleeping better, apart from getting up for bub.
- Mood has been more stable.
Seed cycling post-partum when your menstrual cycle has not yet returned or is irregular:
For postpartum Mumma’s before your menstrual cycle returns or if your period is irregular, it’s recommended to use the phases of the moon as a guide to cycle dates.
Rather than commencing our signature Phase 1 on the first day of your menstrual cycle, seed cycling can commence on the first day of a new moon cycle (lunar cycle). You would switch to Phase 2 on a full moon and continue consuming the blend until the next new moon.
We are harnessing the power of the moon by seed cycling with it. 🌙 ‘

Over the weekend I hosted a Baby First Aid class at my house run by Jo from .
It was great to focus CPR for babies & young children. Jo tested us in some real life situations & put on the pressure of what we would do including all the steps of DRABCD.
It was perfect for parents-to-be & for new parents already navigating bubs on the move & starting solids.
I’ve done CPR & First Aid my entire professional career but I’ve never experienced such real life scenarios
If you would be interested in the next Baby First Aid, I’ll run them each quarter. Look out for dates in August.

In many traditional cultures the ritual is for the Mumma to stay home with her new baby for a certain amount of time (perhaps the first 40 days) with no responsibilities but to feed, rest and bond with her baby.
It is surprising how widely this is practiced around the world and is a rite of passage as a new mumma.
Now tuning into our Western approach, it surprises me how there is so pressure for the new mumma to ‘get back out there’ to ‘bounce back’. As if it is a competition to see who can get back to ‘life as normal’ as quickly as possible!
Oh poor mumma, no wonder there is a high rate of depressed or anxious Mumma’s when this isn’t obtainable and why should it be?
I totally understand some Mumma’s have to get back to work for financial reasons & in other parts of the work there is little to no maternal leave benefits.
What did early motherhood look like to you?
Did you feel the pressure to get back to life?
For me, I felt like I took it slow but did I really? I was out walking around the block on day 7, I was ‘proud’ I made it to a coffee shop and walked through the mall buying cute baby clothes by day 10.... 🤔
Did you follow any:
✨Family traditions?
✨Traditional foods?
✨Meal train?
✨Baths?
✨Ingest or plant your placenta?
✨Body bind?
✨ Hire a doula? (We have amazing doulas in Canberra)
I’d love to hear
Amanda 🙏

The power of your intuition
One of my favourite things about teaching prenatal yoga is giving women the opportunity to go inward, connect to their own intuition and learn to trust it. Pregnancy is so full of medical tests, procedures and appointments that it’s easy to lose your connection to that little voice inside of you. It’s also easy to lose sight of the beauty and mystery involved in growing a new soul; a regular yoga practice creates the space to revel in that beauty.
Take your time to pause, be with you baby, connect & listen ❤️
Sunday prenatal yoga is booked out, a few spots on Thursday prenatal left. Commences 2nd May
At the end of 2019, I wrapped up my maternity leave with little Sienna & I made the bold move to go fully into The Mumma Hub with Prenatal yoga & Mums & Bubs yoga.
I launched for Term 1 in 2020 & had no idea what was to come? Covid hit Australia & businesses ceased… 😮
I had no idea to to pivot to online because all I really wanted was face to face connection, yoga, movement, coffees, laughter & tears as I help women navigate through motherhood.
I’m so grateful I kept going, I’m so grateful for the community I have built & for everyone that has trusted me to hold space for them in this new phase of life - motherhood ❤️
Every mother needs her community who understands, who supports & lifts her up when things get tough.
The Mumma Hub is here for you 4yrs on & I look forward to helping you navigate motherhood & not just with yoga but with conversations, community & education.
Amanda ❤️🙏

Mums & Bubs Yoga
This wonderful class is designed for Mumma’s with babies aged from 6 weeks up to the age they start to crawl.
Connect with your body and bond with your bub in a safe space where you’ll feel empowered and supported. This class encourages you to gently move your body, stretch and build strength, all while having fun with your baby.
These classes are for mums to have a safe space to reconnect with their bodies after the birth of their beautiful babies.
This class offers some time to engage with your little one as you learn a few stretches they might enjoy, followed by a flow for you too. Restorative poses, mindfulness and meditation are also included so that you feel like the best version of yourself in this new stage of life.
Baby postures are a gentle and fun mix of song and movement with lots of connection, laughter and giggles.
Term 2 commences next week
Kingston 10am & 12:30 Tuesdays
Belconnen 10am (2hr class with morning tea) Thursdays

🌟 Wabi Sabi is a way of living. My understanding is finding the beauty in the imperfections of life ~ Perfectly imperfect 🌟
This sums up perfectly where I’m at right now, especially in motherhood. Anyone agree?
I don’t have to be a perfect mum (there’s no such thing) but I am perfect for my girls even if it’s imperfect!
This is a quote from “Wabi Sabi Welcome” Julie Pointer Adams: “Living a mindful, considered life means making time and space to breathe, slow down, and be specific about what I truly desire.”
Hey beautiful community, you’ve asked for a few casual spots & I’ve opened up 1-2 casual spots each class in both prenatal yoga and mums & bubs yoga in Kingston.
You’ll have to be quick as the first Sunday prenatal class had them snapped up already!
Come & try to see if it’s for you. Connect with my amazing community ❤️

The Benefits of Baby Yoga (mums & bubs yoga)
Looking for a fun activity to do with baby that offers physical, mental and emotional benefits—and chills baby out? Baby yoga could be the answer. Babies are natural yogis, they live in the moment, which is what yoga is about. They also do natural yoga positions and postures in their developmental path.
So how can you harness baby’s natural gifts to create an experience that benefits you and your little one? Mums & Bubs yoga of course.
Baby yoga utilises similar movement patterns that you’d find in a restorative yoga class for adults. The main difference is that we’re simplifying the movements, assisting the stretches and guiding baby through a sensory, playful experience.
Benefits for baby
✨ Physical development
✨ Emotional regulation
✨ Bonding and communication
✨ Decreased fussiness and better sleep
Benefits for Mumma/parent in practice
✨ Bonding and communication
✨ Postpartum recovery
✨ Stress reduction
✨ Community and support
The beauty of mums & bubs yoga lies in the opportunity to strengthen the bond between you and your little one while promoting physical development and relaxation. Go with the flow, cherish the shared moments and enjoy the journey of discovery and connection with your little yogi.

This was me on my 35th birthday & I was 7mths pregnant with my 1st baby.
I knew I’d have kids later in my life, my idea was to have kids in my 30’s & here I was as a ‘geriatric mum’ at 35yrs old!
While the term “geriatric pregnancy” may feel a bit off putting to some, I have proudly embraced my role as an “older Mumma.” I am proud of the life I led and the trail I blazed before I had children. (Like a 9mth honeymoon)
Looking back to when I was in my late 20’s and early 30’s…. eeeek, I see a lot of personal growth, mistakes and deeply rich experiences I may not have had the chance to fulfill if I had stepped into the role of a mother earlier.
Everyone’s experiences are all so different… I’d love to hear your experiences, what age did you have your first baby? Are you an oldie like me or a young Mumma & will likely see your grandchildren get married!
I get blown away by all the amazing Mumma’s of all ages that I have met in my business over the years. You are all amazing, no matter your age, experience & journey to motherhood ❤️
