We were pleased to welcome some assistance dogs and seeing eye dogs in training at Craigieburn Specialists today. It’s important they have access to clinics like ours for training, access to all public spaces, and that people know how to interact with them. BCG Vaccines are now available in Craigieburn! Book now for 20th August on 73794216 with Nurse Practitioner Sonja Elia. Sonja is highly experienced in BCG vaccination, and offers this to people of all ages, including children. This is a private service, with a flat fee of $150.00. People intending to travel in the future to countries where their is a risk of Tuberculosis, and some health care workers should be vaccinated. Future dates will also be available.

Tanya Jordan is a qualified social worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker Worker. She works at Craigieburn Specialists on Fridays.

Tanya provides therapeutic intervention to people who are struggling in being able to identify and regulate their emotions such as anxiety, depression and stress.

Tanya also works with people who have contact with the criminal justice system and with people who have contact with the courts in some capacity.

Tanya uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Cognitive behaviour therapy is a type of psychotherapy that helps people to change unhelpful or unhealthy thinking habits, feelings and behaviours.

Dr Gurvinder Singh Chana is a Consultant Geriatrician and Physician, he works on Mondays and Bulk Bills all consultations with a GP referral.

His special interests include memory assessment (cognitive assessment), management of Dementia & Delirium, BPSD (Behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia) management and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA).

At Craigieburn Specialists, we provide a comprehensive services for people living with, or at risk of Hepatitis.

We offer testing and screening for Hepatitis A, B and C, as well as Immunisation for Hepatitis A and B.

Did you know that Hepatitis C can be treated very effectively, and it is much more common than most people realise? We can prescribe treatment for Hepatitis C as soon as your test results come back. Treatment takes 8-12 weeks, and has few or no side effects

There will soon also be treatment available for Hepatitis B in our clinic. For now you can have your assessments completed and discuss future treatments.

All forms of Hepatitis can lead to permanent liver damage, and increase your risk of Liver Cancer, so make sure you book in now.
