Hi everyone, I’d like to bring to your attention the importance of rebooking appointments as we’re approaching the later part of 2024.
Several of my regular clients have already pre booked well into Christmas & even into January which I greatly appreciate.
Other people are relying on rosters which is totally understandable, however, there are many of my regulars who just book as they go, which unfortunately during this time of year, I can’t promise availability unless a slot becomes available due to a cancellation. Just a heads up, September is already pretty much full - there may be 1-2 slots left. October is filling fast too. I’ll also be off work from Sep 26th till Oct 1st.
In addition, I can’t promise availability of certain days or certain times of day, due to most days being almost back to back. However, I’m happy to place people on a waiting list.
My availability is still the same Mon-Sat as per my business hours listed, unless prior arrangements have been made and no, I do not operate on Sundays as that’s my family time.

I’d also like to touch on a previous notice regarding closure of my books (since Easter Sunday this year). This applies to all new clients, as well as any previous clients who haven’t been in in a very long time, who’d like to return. I genuinely apologise for this, however, currently this still stands & again, I’m happy to place people on a waiting list should a permanent cancellation occurs.

Hi everyone, with an extremely broken heart, it has truly taken me several days to announce, our beloved boy Buff has passed away after 9 amazing years with us. For those who didn’t know him, we rescued him from a shelter May 6th, 2015 & at the time he would’ve been approx 4-5 yrs old there were no records given to us.
Sadly he was emotionally damaged from his previous owners, displaying insecurities & anxiety to strangers but he saw years of love & affection from Brad & myself & from family, friends & several of my beautiful clients who adored him too. He was my companion & my best friend who never left my side.
In the last weeks of his life he started deteriorating, especially in the last week & after our vet’s advice, we had to make that awful decision to have him euthanised due to unfixable medical issues he had rapidly developed.
So, on Tuesday May 21st, here at home, beautiful Caroline, a true angel, from The Rainbow Vet helped him cross that rainbow bridge with dignity, pain free & in blissful peace. I’d also like to thank my beautiful daughter Eleni who came with the girls (my gorgeous granddaughters), on the Sunday two days prior & on the day to support us during this difficult time saying our goodbyes.
He is already greatly missed as it feels so empty here without him 😢💔 Rest in peace our Buffy boy, gone forever but forever in our hearts ❤️

My salon “Tina’s Nails & Beauty” had been servicing Brisbane’s south-east in The Redlands since early 2008. In 2014 I relocated to the southern Gold Coast & re-established my little salon myself once more operating from home.

I am still very passionate about this industry whether it’s about nails, skin or other beauty services, giving you, my clients 100% of my time & 100% quality products sourced predominantly from the US & Europe, as well as from Australia. I endeavour to always provide quality work with attention to detail at all times and always adhere to Australian standards in the industry’s health & safety practices.

I am fully certified in nails (both natural nails & enhancements), makeup artistry & other beauty treatments using top quality professional products & equipment.

I specialise in acrylic, gel, polygel, dip systems using alternate methods instead of glue, gel polishes, nail art etc and always keep up to date with the industry in new systems & products. I “DO NOT” use glued-on plastic tips but I do create extensions for clients using nail forms we refer to as “sculptures”. Recently I am also offering professional quality press on tips, to suit all budgets & tastes, ranging from temporary application to longer-lasting application of 2-3 weeks or more due to the superior products used for adhesion.

I currently use a very reputable professional brand called Planet Nails Australia for all my acrylic, gel, hybrid or polygel & gel polishes which are always coming out with new colours & collections. I also carry other known brand gel colours if you don’t see a certain shade you make like. In addition I also use the gorgeous & superior quality Planet Nails Vogue tips for soft & hard gel enhancements & for pressons. These products by PN I have found by far to outperform other brands out there, resisting chipping or fading from service to service - I have tried other brands but these are just amazing, the results speak for themselves.

All nail enhancements & nail art as well as working with natural nails

Beauty treatments such as diamond microdermabrasion facials & express facials

Lash & brow treatments - waxing & tinting (I do not provide lash perming or lash lifting)

All waxing services for both women & men (excl. men’s intimate waxing)

Spray tanning

Unlike the chain or express salons, you are guaranteed a professional one on one pain-free quality service in a relaxed, air-conditioned salon environment. Learn how to enjoy looking after your skin - top to toe. Enjoy showing off your hands & feet, with or without artificial nail enhancements, or perhaps opt for temporary nails in the form of professional quality pressons, completely different to the cheap stick on nails you find at a discount store for a few dollars.

Please note:
Nail Maintenance & Aftercare Between Services

Please note – Looking after your nails at home or at work shouldn’t be a chore – it is advisable to keep the following in mind (I fully understand things happen, though once you leave my salon I do not know what you do with your nails or anything about your lifestyle, therefore unless there’s a breakdown in the products themselves, each day onward is standard maintenance & I am not responsible whatsoever if you do not follow aftercare advice).
Whilst gel nails cure instantly, acrylic nails can take up to 48 hours to cure completely to their true hard state. Please be mindful of this & follow my aftercare advice.
Moisturise hands & apply cuticle oil twice daily (especially before bed – nails, hair & skin rejuvenate during the night), this also allows the enhancement & natural nail to remain supple, minimising brittleness, cracking & lifting.
It’s advisable to wear gloves where possible when working with harsh cleaning chemicals. These can cause enhancements to become extremely dry & brittle, which can cause breakages, cracking & lifting. Excessive water or chemicals in your nails can cause premature separation, lifting, cracking or chipping, weakening the enhancements.
Take a little care when opening drawers, bevelled cupboard doors (no handles), aggressively hitting keys on keyboards or phones, prying aluminium or tin-can openings, or even making beds etc can also cause breaks & lifting. Please also note that hair colourants, cosmetics, tanning products & certain foods/spices can discolour your nails. It is advisable to wear gloves where possible.
Sometimes accidents can happen even to those of us who are careful, but most can be avoided by being mindful of our beautiful new nails. Your nails should look fantastic from service to service (apart from the usual refill/infill or re-balance (eg French nails).

Another important piece of advice I’d like for you to know is please DO NOT CLIP YOUR ACRYLIC OR BUILDER GEL ENHANCEMENTS - THEY “WILL” CRACK!!! If you need to shorten your nails or tidy a chip before you can come in to see me, please use a file!!! Also, please do not try & pry your enhancements off your nails or pick your gel polish off. This causes damage to your natural nails!!! Please understand that a time frame of 2-3 weeks between appointments is advisable for maintenance. In some cases 3-4 weeks is ok too, however, anything beyond these time frames will cause a severe imbalance & stress to your nail plates. We are all busy with work, family & other commitments but it’s important to keep up with your maintenance appointments at the correct time schedule. If you come in for an appointment which was meant to be a regular infill but have left it quite a lot longer than advised & extra work is required, please understand that this will fall under extras and extra charges will be added.

Please also understand that whilst my insurance covers the person receiving a treatment or service, it does not cover any other person or young children. Please make arrangements prior to your appointment for your little ones, so that I can conduct your service uninterrupted allowing you your “me time”. It’s due to past experience that this policy must be adhered to.

Finally, due to the current pandemic of Covid-19, I have implemented additional procedures & rules in accordance with the Australian Government’s Health Department - specifically Qld Health requirements by law, which I have complied 100% with & my clients will need to comply as well with these guidelines. A lot of it is common sense but a few extra precautions are to be exercised during every appointment at least for the next month upon reopening. Failure to accept or comply with these regulations will result in refusal of services. Thank you for understanding as I try to make my salon & myself safe for everyone.
