Having a break from painting flies, l was inspired by a photo l saw a while ago......
A sight to set your heart racing, as you measure your cast in your mind; you study your quarry and plan the delivery cast, praying you have the right fly, the right presentation and the right judgement of the strike......
Gosh , l love dry fly fishing to "tailers".......no wonder we love this sport !!!!

A few more watercolours done for the Devonport Fly Fishing Club. We have heaps of participants at our annual Bronte Camp. These watercolours will be amongst some of our raffle prizes and Auction items. Hope you like them!!!

Just finished a local one. A mate bought my original of this hop kiln in Derwent Valley but a friend asked me to do one for a restaurant. Hope he likes it.....do you?? Lol.

Hi gang ! As you know, l love painting landscapes....lol
But...at the moment l have been painting prizes for my fly-fishing club! Yes, painting portraits of famous fishing flies! I like them to go to our students at our Fly Fishing camp, where l have taught Entomology for the past 29 years.

Same subject but two different seasons of year and two different mediums and painting styles. It is easier to stick to one medium... acrylic, watercolour or oil....but l like the challenge to try and have a go..lol
