First monoprinting in AGES! I haven’t been into making art much this year. Slowly getting back into it.

Mr Darcy. Limited edition of 11 prints (I stuffed one up 🫠) arrgghh odd number.

Getting back into Linocut after what feels like a long hiatus. Making a portrait of Mr Darcy for some special friends that love Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice the book (and the 90s tv miniseries). Some black ink to come. Thought I’d start small and simple. This will be a limited edition of 12.

Lost my art groove for a few months now 😔. In a bit of a Funk. First play in months today. . Something a bit bladerunner inspired?

Made a meme today whilst getting “stuck” watching ‘s Rage. Saturday traditions 😍😍. I love that they never changed the theme and credit sequence. Australian TV Gold.

Finished. Really not sure about this one. Was a bit of a saga to put together. But I’ve finished it. Added darker green today and some extra bits.

When you’ve got your Lino carved and ready for the third layer but you need to wait another day or two for the 2nd layer to dry 😩

Second project I’m working on… A homage to the fabulous Netflix series “Dark”. My current viewing obsession. 🤩🤩

If you haven’t seen it, find it now. But you need to pay close attention it’s quite the mind puzzle and lots of time travel too 🤓.

There is a prop in the show a book called “Ich Fürchte Mich Nicht”, the cover of which I was quite struck by and thought it looked like a linocut illustration. Boy, did I scoure the internet for hours trying to find a copy of this book! But it doesn’t seem to exist, so I decided to make my own version 🤪, a homage to the show 🤩❤️👏

The beginning of a new linocut. Something a bit whimsical that I came up with a year or two ago and lost interest in. Haven’t really planned what I’m doing with this one. Going to see where it goes…

Studio play day

Sometimes you get interesting texture from the ghost print and the dregs of ink remaining on the stamps.

Variation on the theme. This time starting with coloured background. More spy rendezvous.

Just playing with textures, gelliplate, stencils and stamps. .

Cacti event of the year. A few more hours later we had to tie it up. The blossoms must be heavy. It was bent over. Amazing. Next year we’ll put a slo mo camera out. 🤩🤩
