IMPORTANT TESTING INFORMATION - for those of you trying to conceive or are already pregnant.

🟣 It is absolutely crucial to know your thyroid hormone levels before trying to conceive. This means TSH plus T4 and T3. Knowing your TSH isn't enough to guarantee a risk free pregnancy. Having a TSH higher than 2, increases the risk of miscarriage as well reducing the cognitive development of your baby, meaning low IQ.

🟣 Having adequate levels of Vit D (100-150), Zinc (around 16), Iodine (will need to discuss individual requirement) and ferritin (70-100) is 100% essential to the best health for your baby. Having lower levels of any of these nutrients creates risk of reduced IQ, Vit D and iron deficiency in childhood, developmental delays and risk of other conditions.

Q: I eat well, I have a good lifestyle, where does the inflammation come from?
Q: How do I know if I have inflammation?

Stress is inflammatory, not consuming enough omega 3 fats, over-eating, eating a lot of grains, dairy and processed foods is inflammatory. Not getting enough rest is inflammatory, being dehydrated.

Inflammation is easily tested in the blood. I am qualified to analyse blood tests and can use specific ratio's to determine if there is inflammation in your liver, kidneys or if it's more general.
