So this is one of many reasons that slow, ethical fashion can cost a little more at the register. Although keep in mind the research shows slow fashion is cheaper per wear!

Also, we pay Australian fair wages, and, with super and insurance, our hourly wage is more than most off shore workers get in 3 months. Read that again.
1 hour Australian wages = 3 months of wages in off-shore unethical sweat shops.

Consider that next time you say oh that's expensive buying Australian made.

Interesting, isn't it when you break it all down.

So Liawenee, the coolest place in Tassie we hear on the news every day about the coolest recorded temperatures and it fascinates us, but who has actually been there? It's like a fairy tale place made of ice and beauty, but I have never been there. Have you?
Reposted **COLD AS ICE….NO REALLY, IT WAS! ❄️🩵

Liawenee, whether you call it a town or a location, had the coldest temperatures recorded in Australia for the last 2 days, -10 deg & this morning’s -12.9, beating its own previous July record back in 2013.

I’ve just spent the last few days up in Liawenee & its surrounds experiencing a major cold snap.
The landscape has been turned into a disco wonderland, ice sparkling on every available surface, lakes frozen solid, icy roads, & stunning cold blue skies.

It was still -8deg at 10.30am, when it got up to -3deg later in the day, it almost felt like a heatwave & t-shirt weather in comparison 😅

No doubt about you Tassie, you’re bloody marvellous ❄️🤍🤍

03/07/2024

Well, that's easy. I am hard shells always!! I wanna hear the cracking when I am eating 😆 🤣 🤣 like a cookie monster!!

I don't do soft shells, sorry, not sorry!!

We have the popular back in stock!!
Check pics out....woooowee

🌌✨ I love showing our glasses with a drink inside because the refraction effect really brings the 3D designs to life. I never thought I’d see them come to life like this.

Along with Fine Art Photographer we ventured south from Nipaluna/Hobart on the evening of May 11, hunting for clear and dark skies. After living in Canada together for 6 years, we’d seen our fair share of incredible auroras. However, on this infamous night, we were rewarded with one of the most intense Aurora shows either of us had seen.

I’m still left stunned by the vibrancy and longevity of it. From about 3am on Saturday morning (AEST) until at least sunrise the next day, the electromagnetically charged lights were firing overhead. The only reason we couldn’t see them during the day was because the sun’s light is too bright.

Does anyone know of a “Product Photoshoot” competition we can enter these in!? So thankful to the Aurora forecasting and photographic skills of for the product shots. The photos of the lights themselves are simply off my iPhone.

If you were in Tassie to witness this event, picking up a set of our glasses would make for a perfect memento of this stunning natural phenomenon. Use the link in our bio to find our list of stockists around the state—including online stores if you’d like to have them shipped anywhere in the world.

Happy Monday, indeed!

Reposted The world is in need of women who are profoundly conscious and alert, fully engaged with life, and acting together with love and a shared sense of purpose. These women bring a powerful and transformative energy that can lead to meaningful progress and unity. Their presence and actions can inspire others, create communities of support and care, and drive initiatives that make the world a better place. When women are empowered and connected in this way, they become catalysts for positive change, fostering environments where everyone can thrive.🌿

Can you imagine I live with walking distance of this beautiful place?

Before it got dark, I needed some fresh air and took Winston for a walk down to Duck Reach, litteraly a 15-minute walk from where we live. This time of the year is my absolute favourite 😍

Gosh, they are stunning in lush new organic linen/hemp 😍 I am keeping these ones! Cos I don't have enough cushions, said no one ever!! 😆 😆 😆

Anyone else need a good Fridays laugh!!

This actually looks a little too real to be funny and reminds me a little of my parents' expectations of what a girl should grow up to be!! 😆 😆 😆

I am happy to report that neither I nor my sister even came close to what was expected from us!

Yes, we both ran wild and did exactly opposite to expectations!! Yayyyy

And now my son says things and I laugh and think here we go again. But my expectations are that he will buck the trends and do what feels right for him, and I have no plan for his life. He can work that one out himself as long as he is kind and grateful (working on the greatful part). 😆

Anyway, stay wild, never conform, and be whoever the hell you want! Except for me, that's already taken! Lol

27/06/2024

This is the look of a corgi who wants to play chasing, but mumma is feeling sick with a cold and doesn't have the energy to chase today! Lol 😆 🤣

Corgis have a way of getting what they want...
