Gilchrist Foundation
We are a not-for-profit charitable foundation with a single mission: to identify disadvantage and to try to offer some relief.
Our motto is WE FIND, WE FUND and WE FOSTER.
Just a couple of days to go. DON'T MISS OUT!
I am amazed that nobody is bidding on the amazing range of items on our Christmas Auction.
An Auction that Sports Enthusiasts, Memorabilia Hunters AND lovers of Fine Jewellery will love.
A wide range of sporting memorabilia, books, exquisite jewellery and other items which will appeal to lovers (and cricket lovers in particular). This includes the iconic portrait of Adam Gilchrist, by artist Brett Belot, and some of the most beautiful jewellery available.
Every dollar collected from this auction will be used to further our mission of identifying young Aussies in need, funding life-changing educational opportunities for them but with structured personal engagement programs which nurture, support and guide them.
We don't just hand out funds, but WE FIND, WE FUND AND WE FOSTER - our motto.
RIP John Buttrum.
One of the finest men to ever walk on this earth.
Teacher, cricketer, baseballer, coach, administrator, husband, father …. and more.
John was so strong in helping me set up Lord’s Taverners Northern NSW and was Treasurer for over 13 years. So highly regarded in cricket administration that he became part of the tribunal - established to rule on disputes of many types.
John left us yesterday, and left us all with a hollow feeling.
All our love to Robyn, Peter and Russell.
RIP John.
Hi there - tickets are moving so don’t miss out: https://drct-gilchristfoundation.prod.supporterhub.net/events/ashes-fifth-test
Don’t plan anything else! Keep Thursday 27th July (evening) free. We are holding a special evening that night - the first day of the Fifth Ashes Test in England.
Will it be 2-all, 3-1 or 2-1 before the Fifth?
We will have full details about the event soon but we do know that Trevor Chappell will be there, having a chat with us. And we’ll be watching the start of play on screens throughout the venue- and enjoying some finger-food at the same time.
So don’t even think of anything else. 7.00pm at The Civic Hotel in Lismore.
Details of tickets within hours. Don’t miss this one!
