Majority of people have reasons or excuses that get in the road of their health & fitness.
Majority of people also have some sort of issue with their bodies. Whether it be an injury that hasnโt been rehabilitated properly or some sort of tightness in their muscles/tendons that is leading them towards โfeelingโ like & โbelievingโ that they have an injury. Feeling & believing like they canโt train or strengthen their bodies.
Majority of these so called problems can be rehabilitated & we can be educated how to โpre-habilitateโ. To learn how to avoid our tightnesses & weaknesses turning into an injury or what we perceive as an injury. This works in alignment with our bodies & our minds.
The mind is designed to do two things. Create & Solve. We can create challenges & create solutions. Or we can create problems & create reasons/excuses to not even attempt to solve the situation.
Jimmy walked in about 6 weeks ago & said, โRight Iโm ready to do this & I wanโt you to team up with meโ. He was tight across his entire body, he was favouring particular weak points that were causing issues throughout the muscular chain of his body & he had very little joint stability (like majority of people that walk in the door). His tendons, muscles, joints & overall posture needed attention.
When we initially tested the leg press his mobility was rigid & there was potential for him to injure himself. Look at him now. Mobile, stable, easily capable of pushing heavier weight, training safe, educated & confident.
Since his initial week of testing we have solved every challenge that has arisen. We have focused one every part of his body & looked at them individually. Once we get one part of the motor running properly we then ensure we are branching into the next part to develop an overall stable connection. Interconnection with the goal to gradually increase strength in his entire body.
We have focused on mobility, rehabilitation, pre-habilitation, strengthening his core, working on full-body stabilisation, followed a program specifically designed for him, worked on conditioning & more.

I've got a saying. Well actually I've got a couple of sayings..
"Some people come, some people go & the rest are there to stay forever" - This is a saying I've used with my daughter ever since she was a baby. I used it to explain to her the loss of people coming & going in her life. Whether that be my friends that became a part of her life or friends she had made herself.
The bonds we create with those closest to us are sacred. We do our best to honour those bonds yet sometimes we are unable to securely grasp the friendships forever. The bond I have with my daughter I will always honour & I will always own any mistake that I make with her.
Today I was lucky to have her as my coach as I smashed out a solid strength & conditioning session on this scorcher of a day. I cherish these moments & I cherish our connection..
The only limitations we have in life are the limitations we create for ourselves. Rome wasn't built in a day..

Elevated Renegade Rows.
These rows build the back, mid-section, arms, chest & shoulders. They are one of the toughest rows you will ever do as they expose your weaknesses.
I have elevated them so my row depth can be deeper.
I have reduced the distance you can place your leading leg from the centre of your body to make the row more difficult.
And after about 6wks I have just hit another PB of 8 reps each side. Progress always takes time.
A lot of the training I, my clients & our affiliates undergo involves multiple types of functional lifting methods.
My current program is a combination of Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Calisthenics, Strongman, Conditioning & other functional training styles.

To be able to train like this & train like this consistently isnt as easy as most would think ๐ค๐ญ
You literally have to understand yourself. How you think. Whether you're getting ahead of yourself? Whether the ego is getting in the road?
How tight is your body? Is your mobility up to scratch?
Have you had enough rest? Will you hurt yourself?
What parts of your body need to be stronger than the others to support the rest of your body to be able to handle the weighted pressure?
How do I perform the exercise safely?
Etc Etc Etc & the list goes on.
Lucky for you I have a system to help you get ready for this sort of lifting & be able to continue to lift like this. The whole goal is to get stronger, bigger, leaner, fitter & injure yourself as little as possible.
To literally be able to listen to your body, know how to remedy its niggles & know how to strengthen your weaknesses.
I personally don't feel like a man if I'm not pushing myself physically a few times a week. It makes me feel more manly & I connect deeper with the animal within.

About 10 years ago I was having issues with my lower back continuously. I wasn't enjoying the cyclic nature of pain getting in the road of my life, my fitness & my strength training. Most of us have done planks before right?
Well the above is a hybrid knee to elbow version that I've been getting into lately. The 25kg weight felt comfortable to complete the 20 repetitions. 20 repetitions of slow, controlled & well contracted movements. I'll be upping the weight next time for sure.

Being a โHolistic Life Health Coachโ I dive into the deeper parts of an individuals health on multiple holistic levels. All of the health modalities that we explore are literally โThe Pillars Of Healthโ. Together I work with my clients as a team & we focus on assisting them to develop further understanding of themselves. To develop further understanding of their own responsibility to themselves & how important accountability is. Further understanding of how important health is on all levels & how it is directly responsible for their quality of life.
One small part of what I do is assist my clients to see the relationships they have with themselves, their past, their future, their family, their children, their friends & with society. Along with this we dive into the butterfly effect & the understanding of how all of this came about.
One of the key relationships in an individuals development is the relationship between parent & child. Between caregiver & the dependant. As parents we are literally the moulding model for our children on infinite levels. We mould their beliefs. We mould how they look at themselves, their challenges & how they look at the world. We mould the positive & negative nature of all the above. We can mould in a limiting manner or a limitless manner.
Many of the childโs beliefs over time can become self-limiting. These self-limiting beliefs can go unseen & unrecognised. These self-limiting beliefs if not addressed can stay ingrained within the child into adult life & play a vital role in the life that the child unconsciously or consciously chooses to design for themselves.
A parents self-limiting beliefs can easily become their childโs self-limiting beliefs.
Our self-limiting beliefs are created in our past through our experiences, what was passed down to us by our parents through learnt behaviour aka patterning & potentially what was passed down to us genetically from generations that once were. Self-limiting beliefs can also be referred to as โNegative Core Beliefsโ
A parents parents (the childrenโs grandparents) self-limiting beliefs were created & passed down to them through the exact same processes. From generation to generation over time. Gradually morphing like a Chinese whisper which has been created through the experiences that were experienced, the perception of those experiences, the genetically inherited patterning, the awareness of each individual & their willingness to change. Their willingness to face themselves & face their internal challenges. To face their past to create their future.
If a parent is not ready to grow & face their challenges. Their child will follow their lead & mimic their behaviour on a deeper level. They will develop the fears that the parents have & they will develop deep ingrained self-limiting beliefs that over time when delved into will release as trauma. Traumas direct response to handling facing itself or its challenges is avoidance, redirection & detaching. Trauma will not give attention to itself.
To re-pattern the mind & body we must face those overwhelming sensations. Be present with ourselves, take the time to understand ourselves, slowly re-direct ourselves & gradually challenge ourselves in a safe holistic manner. Repeatedly through gradual exposure to what lies beneath us internally. Repeatedly through gradual exposure to the intensities that arise when we focus on what weโve been trying to avoid. With the goal of breaking down the patterning to re-pattern ourselves in a more balanced & abundant direction.
Every parent out there can look back at their parenting & see where they feel they went wrong or where they could improve. Every parent out there can look back at how they were parented & see where their parents could have approached things with more awareness. With more understanding of the ripple effects that were occurring.
A child who is exposed to a father that has anger issues & aggression has a high probability of developing the same traits. The same behaviours. And if they do not develop the same behaviours other particular behaviours are left behind within the child as a result of their exposure to their parents behaviours. Patterning.
A child who is raised by a parent who avoids challenges & takes the easy way out will most likely develop the same behavioural patterns. The same behavioural traits. Patterning.
Exposure to alcoholism, drug use, manipulation, fear, anxiety, trauma, mental health, narcissism & other self-limiting behaviours directly influences & effects the childs development. The normalisation of all of these listed behavioural traits can & will cause detrimental effects in the childs development.
Every child has been patterned by their parents, their experiences, their perception of those experiences & their genetically inherited patterning. Every parent also has an opportunity to remedy what has been created within their child by taking conscious action to look inside themselves & see the truth of themselves. To see the truth of how they think, act, react, respond & the truth of their patterning. To see the truth of their behaviour in an โactive & responsiveโ manner.
Once a parent makes the conscious decision to dive into the deeper darker parts of themselves with the desire to re-create a more light enriched futuristic version of themselves. The child will once again mirror them in an unconscious & conscious manner. The child will mirror their actions, their reactions, their beliefs, their behaviour & their perceptions. The once ingrained patterns in the child begin to reverse & re-create.
How are we patterned? Through the repetitive nature of experience, belief & perception. So to undo a parents patterning takes time. It takes repetition. It takes the awareness & willingness to face their once perceived challenges until eventually the challenge is no longer a challenge anymore. The pathway has been re-written until the point where the thought processes, the bodily sensations, the perceptions & the beliefs no longer serve the initial self-limiting belief. They serve a higher purpose. A purpose which is in alignment with a more aware, capable, determined, motivated, positive, accepting, conscious, driven & stronger futuristic version of themselves. A purpose that is in alignment with assisting their child to create a futuristic version of themselves that contain all of the above & many more of the attributes just listed. To create a life of strength, positivity, belief & abundance. A life free of shackles.
Re-patterning yourself will assist with re-patterning your children. If you run from yourself, you in turn are running from creating an abundant futuristic version of your children.
Every successful individual had to make sacrifices with their time. They had to participate in โself-createdโ challenges over & over again. Repeatedly until they felt like they were going to break. Repeatedly until the thought that they were going to break, in itself became re-patterned until they no longer thought like that. The option of breaking no longer existed as they learnt to create an internally patterned system that unconsciously patterned their thoughts, beliefs & perceptions in the direction of balance. A balanced life full of prioritised health on all levels. โHealthโ.
Through recreation & re-patterning we in turn break the chains of our past. We break the chains of our children's futures. We break the chains allowing our children to assist our grandchildren to potentially develop even further towards an abundant, positive & unshackled future than our own. We break the chains within ourselves that hold us connected to slave mentality. From being a slave to a system that doesnโt prioritise our health & happiness. We break the chains that hold us connected to the once patterned self-limiting beliefs that have been getting in the road of our success & happiness. Breaking the chains that have developed within our children over time as a result of our previous patterning, our genetically inherited patterning, their genetically inherited patterning, our behaviour & our no longer patterned self-limiting beliefs.
I will leave you with something that has been running through my mind a lot lately. Each day I remind myself of the importance of embodying this concept.
