This week's excursion at E-Gen alternative school at a good friend's Permaculture garden, we explored the garden, played, picked produce, made fresh orange juice after picking straight from the tree and had a treat of some super yummy date treats.

So good. A gorgeous 14" buffalo hide drum i made at the last workshop inlaid with a quartz crystal in the rim. I love the transparency of the hide. Oh, and the sound is divine.
I do love these new buffalo hide drums.

I'm very proud of myself. Yesterday afternoon i did the most epic run i've been on, Mount Eliza to Mornington peir and back along the shoreline.

I've done longer runs and even done this one before a little while ago but my first time doing it barefoot. 16k including a good 4km of intense terrain, lots of rocks, some cliff scaling, and even the sand was soft, meaning hard work. the terrain is way more tricky than myFrankstonn peir run, after sunnyside, it gets pretty rough

And there was a little sun along the last 3/4hr so i even went for a super quick dive into the water, before running the last km home.

My feet and legs are doing well, i even did a short 5k morning run with a mate, but in minimalist shoes. gentle gentle.

It's that time again, and i'm so looking forward to it. Tomorrow night at 7:30 i'm at Summer Healing Society and yoga studio on the corner of Sydney & Brunswick roads in Brunswick

I was so full in the land from one thing to another, i forgot to post pics of this gorgeous drum making workshop at home the weekend before easter. It was what i needed, a small and divine group off people, a very special day. I often reschedule in the last week and then filll these places with others comiing in on divine timing. This time it was 3, kinda 4 rebooking. It was perfect and a great opportunity to explore new things.

Sound immersion, cacao, & drum circle. Sat 2 March 7:30pm. Melb Brunswick

An alchemical sound journey with a guided circle of intentional manifestation, where the group shares cacao, breathes, harmonises, drums, chants, dances and creates together taking positive action towards a greater purpose for yourself and those in your own circle.

Arrival, teaching & sharing
On arrival we'll begin with a guided teaching, leaning into a conversation and sharing of the energetic theme relevant to the session. Here, we'll set intentions and align ourselves with the purpose collectively and to suit your own journey. then we'll move deeper into ceremony with cacao

Cacao
What a beautiful way to share spirit, with a super unique cacao ceremony with 100% raw ceremonial grade and blessed Peruvian cacao unwatered down for full potency, followed by a maple syrup shot as a blessing to compliment the medicine with a burst of extra goodness. This is a taste and body sensation and a unique way of sharing cacao. then to sound. (See below for more on cacao)

Sound Meditation
A sound journey through the ceremony of ‘natural alchemy’ is an intuitive experience of beautiful harmonics aimed at enabling one with a connection to the divine spirit to trigger one’s own inner guidance, discover stillness within, a state of immersed bliss and healing vibrations.
Instruments are respectfully integrated from alternate cultures, many of which are made in ceremony through an alchemical process by Brad himself. The journey offered flows through channeled messages, vocal toning, harmonising, breathwork, a complete earth frequency crystal bowl set, chimes, ceremonial rattles, Tibetan singing bowls, yidaki (didgeridoo), guzheng (traditional Chinese harp), handpan, traditional ceremonial medicine drums and vegan drums. Live recording and looping are also integrated into the journey.
Oh, sacred geometry and large pyramids made from copper, silver, gold, and crystals will be woven into the space for a little extra alchemy to amplify the blissful state and help it become part of your being.

Energy field or auric movement transition
Moving out of the in-depth sound activation we’ll ease into full consciousness and be guided to move out of our inner journey of sound and allowing all that goodness to integrate with our everyday awareness. Starting with gentle stretching and eventually getting up and exploring your energy / auric field with movement. From here we even notice each other's energy and move together in a silent dance of energy. This is a truly delightful and beautiful experience that naturally progresses from our accumulated journey so far

Drumming
Into the next phase, we’ll ease into a circle of co-creation, and pick up medicine drums, join in with the mother pow-wow drum, or clapping sticks, or rattles, or an instrument you've brought yourself. After a short intro/instruction, we find a rhythm together and create sound. This is creative, gentle & powerful, big energy that is a seed to bring what we've created into a transformative state that you can readily take into your own life in the everyday world and use for a better alignment to your purpose! This sounds big, it is! And we’ll do it easily, all together!

Closing circle
We'll wind down into a closing circle, honouring our experience and sharing our stories as we prepare to move out into the world to make a difference.

7:00 Arrival and chill in waiting room
7:30 Settling straight in, with a guided, exploration or teaching and discussion around the energy of the month
8:00 Serving for Cacao ceremony of pure unwatered down organic Peruvian cacao with maple syrup chaser to activate the night, followed by intention-setting
8:30 We’ll lay down and commence a beautiful sound meditation aligned with the energy created for the night
9:45 Easing into full consciousness and guided into an energy or auric field intuitive movement session

What to bring:

Please bring your conscious self, a water bottle, warm comfy clothes that you can move freely in and take layers off if needed, And a drum or instrument to jam if you feel (plenty provided if needed)
It's a yoga studio with heaps of blankets, yoga mats, and bolsters for your comfort

For drumming circles. A drum or instrument is optional and if you want there will be some drums, a big pow-wow drum, and plenty of rattles or clapping sticks provided. If you want to make your own drum check out brad’s website for vegan and traditional drum workshop dates. They sell out fast!

Brad is an intuitive alchemist, designer and loves to immerse himself and play with sound. With a belief in creating with heart, he discovers, makes stuff with spirit, plays, meditates and offers this back to others through ceremony where possible.

Academically, Brad has been studying the esoteric, sound and meditation for over 20 years. He has a master’s degree in design and advanced diploma with the sacred sciences foundation. But more importantly, a belief that the body is a temple and that to celebrate life in a wholesome, quirky and fun way is so very important.

More on Cacao...

Specific varieties of organic cacao taken in its pure form, treated at low temperatures without excessive refined sugars provide a very different and incredible product. Cacao is a superfood in itself, the caffeine and theobromine are stimulants; mixed in with polyphenols, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium, and manganese.

This aids in health benefits including balancing mood swings, cardiovascular health, fatigue reduction, glowing skin, improving digestion, cognitive function. Anti-inflammatory properties and it’s an aphrodisiac. Cacao aids in release of serotonin, anandamide and phenylethylamine which provide all that blissful goodness.

Cacao vs coco or refined chocolates.

Many have it as chocolate with small amounts of cacao farmed in low nutrient areas roasted at high temperatures, often with more refined sugar and other additives. Although it tastes great, it doesn’t make it very healthy.

Contra-indications

For ceremony we have a high dosage, which is fine occasionally. if you have a heart condition or are taking antidepressants advise Brad to modify the serving
