Rangeview Primary School is a Victorian Government Primary School in the Eastern Suburb of Mitcham.
Today, some of our Level 6 student leaders had an amazing experience at Blackburn Lake, diving into First Nations bush cooking and music. It was an immersive and enriching excursion! ππ
Congratulations to our Level 5/6 Girls' Hockey team, who competed in the Eastern Regional finals yesterday. The girls gave it their all, recording some great wins throughout the day and conceding only one goal. Overall, they finished as runners-up in the region. Thanks to Stuart for his fantastic coaching over the past weeks and on the day! πππ
Level 4 Camp at Phillip Island Adventure Camp is a wrap! A big thank you to the RPS staff, parent volunteers, C*C staff, and our wonderful students for an unforgettable experience. Weβre confident the students will cherish these memories for a lifetime! ππποΈπ§
Day 2 at Level 4 camp has been packed with exciting activities! We kicked off the day in our pajamas after enjoying pasta the night before. The day included paddling in the lake, ponding, pancake-making, and a delicious parmajana dinner. Between activities, we had fun with ping pong, and weβre now wrapping up with a special treatβpenguin-themed entertainment! Time to cozy up and enjoy "Happy Feet." ππ
What a fabulous first day of Level 4 Camp!
Our cheerful campers have paddled canoes, shot arrows, climbed walls, and swung into the sky!
We are finishing a delicious dinner and the talent show awaits. We are so proud already of these positive, enthusiastic kids. ππ
Another exciting day of sport yesterday with our Level 5/6 Hoop Time event at Nunawading and the State Downball finals in Heathmont. All of our students had a fantastic time and represented the school with great pride. Congratulations to our Level 5/6 All Star Girls team for winning the dayπ and advancing to the Regional Hoop Time finals in Term 4, and to our Level 3/4 Downball team for being crowned state champions! πA big thank you to our wonderful parent community for all their support. We had a fantastic time celebrating the Olympics at Rangeview today! The students dressed in the colors of 29 different countries and participated in both the opening ceremony and Olympic activities. Thank you to everyone for helping make it another wonderful day for the students! ππ

Our Foundation students celebrated 100 days of school in style, dressed as if they were 100 years old whilst enjoying a day packed with fun activities! A huge congratulations to our students on such a successful start to Primary school and a big thank you to our families and teachers for making this milestone so special. We had a very special visitor to the school today - Hugh van Cuylenburg, founder of The Resilience Project. Hugh spent time with senior students speaking about the GEM principles (Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness), filming new content for next yearβs program. We are so grateful as a school to be selected for this opportunity and it speaks volumes about our commitment to student wellbeing. ππ

Congratulations to our fantastic runners who competed in the Eastern Regional Cross Country in Yarra Glen today! The students should be so incredibly proud of their achievements, making it this far and performing so well at this very high level of competition. We had a school record of four students finishing in the Top 12 and progressing to the State Cross Country in Term 3, a testament to the hard work they have put in. Our Level 6 students participated in an inspiring presentation delivered by the Pat Cronin Foundation today. They gained valuable insights into the significance of respect, kindness, and the importance of taking a stand against violence. Huge thanks to the foundation for such an impactful session! ππ
Rangeview celebrated an amazing Open Afternoon today to mark the beginning of Education Week. Classrooms were open across the school and students and teachers were showcasing their learning in every level and in the specialist areas.
A group of selected students had the opportunity to read their creative writing in the Authors Chair in the Library, and then the community came together in the gymnasium for a spotlight on STEM and our musical performances!
