Responsible Consumption - Behavioural Roadmap to Circular Consumption | Responsible Consumption Mission | Major project | BehaviourWorks Australia 22/04/2024

Today is Earth Day.

This year's theme, "Planet vs. Plastic," highlights the urgent need to address plastic pollution and safeguard our environment. In confronting Australia's recycling reality, Macklin from Monash Sustainable Development Institute and BehaviourWorks Australia highlights a key issue: the lack of demand for recycled plastic products.

While efforts are underway to transition away from wasteful practices like landfill, including chemical recycling programs and waste-to-energy plants, there's a clear need for systemic change. As we celebrate the Earth, we also prioritise global health initiatives. Let's not just recycle but actively reduce our waste for a greener tomorrow.
