One thing you guys are always on the lookout for is more activities and date ideas. For today's open discussion, I wanted to let you guys share creative date ideas - particularly if any of you are in LDR I know many would love to hear!
I'll go first, one of my favourites is picnic and asking couple questions (you can use the Board Game or from my reels), it is such a nice way to reconnect in nature, away from technology and have some deeper chats.
Are you a fast or slow processor? ❤️
This is different to attachment styles, I personally find myself currently to be more avoidant, yet a fast processor. Learning about processors can help minimise misunderstandings or taking things personally.
One of the profound lessons from my journey through relationships is that love isn't just a feeling; often, it's about showing up when we'd rather not, tackling issues we'd prefer to avoid, and confronting aspects of ourselves we'd like to ignore.
Yet, by choosing to engage, we're making a deliberate decision to commit to the relationship and lean into the connection. It's crucial to acknowledge and appreciate it when you see your partner making these efforts. ❤✨

How to process past relationship trauma and hurt so that you can begin to heal 🤍
A key note I'll add to this, is as feelings come up it is important to hold space for yourself. Allow yourself to feel, regulate and try not to get stuck on the 'narrative' of the emotion. Instead focus on allowing yourself to feel the sensations that come up until they pass.
It is important to chip away at a pace that is ideal for you. If you are well on your way on your personal self development journey, you might be able to chip away quicker.
If you have dissociated from your emotions for some time. Take super small steps, while you become comfortable with learning to feel and process your emotions.

If you’re in a relationship, take the day to celebrate the process of learning, unlearn & growing. Take the day to have some fun together. Turn off your phones, take some you guys time. Conscious Relationships are hard sometimes, you guys should be so proud of yourselves.

Breaking out of unhealthy coping strategies takes work, good news once new choices are made multiple times we actually learn new neural pathways. Making it much easier.
