Hi everyone!!!
Sorry I have been so MIA on this page!
I won’t lie I am a huge IG lover and running multiple social media pages sometimes feels a little 🤯🤯

But I am going to do my best to be a little more active here and share some of the birthy magic I share on IG here too!

It’s been a BIG first year for me last year, I’ve been on call since April 2021 and patiently waiting for baby number 15 to arrive in the next few weeks ✨

I’m just about to start a new volunteer role as the website coordinator for Homebirth Australia and I’m already getting super booked up for births in 2022 which is epic!!

Dads, there is PLENTY you can do 🤎🤎

There’s a HUGE misconception about Doulas + I firmly believe as a Doula, educating society and clearing up some of those misconceptions is vital.

Are there doulas that only support women birthing at home? Absolutely.
Are there doulas that will tell you ‘you don’t need pain relief’? Absolutely.

But please don’t think that is ALL doulas.
Finding the right doula is so important (for the parents and the doula) your beliefs, values and ways of working have to align. Don’t be afraid to call up a few and see who you vibe with and who vibes with you. It’s not a one way street 🔁 and we all have our own individual ways of working.

Educating society and my community about the work of doulas is so important to me!

Postpartum support has my heart 🤎

I sooooooo badly wish all women had a Doula to support them during the fourth trimester.
Whilst it’s amazing to have friends and family there for you (if you’re lucky enough to have that) there’s something really special about someone who comes in purely for you, mama.
Yes of course the baby cuddles are a total ‘perk of the job’ 😉🥰 I’d be lying if I didn’t say that was pretty damn special but being that person who is there for the mother is something else!

Every postpartum Doula will have a unique way of supporting a mama because every mama’s needs are different but if you’re expecting your first or fifth little human, I highly encourage you to get in touch with local doulas and see if their offering aligns with your wants/needs.

Here I am in my element on my way to my last postpartum session with a beautiful mama. Basket of goodies in my hand, bright eyed with oodles of energy to do whatever she needs and an overflowing amount of love in my heart to smother her in cuddles 🤗 🌿🤎✨

P.s there is no such thing as ‘last’ session - doulas are for life!! 😌🕊
P.p.s all of my services are still half price for 2021 to honour my transition as a student Doula and as my small way to make birth support even more accessible during this strange ongoing pandemic - postpartum services are $499 for 24 hours of support.

Sarah and I are so very excited to be able to offer our new workshop at Evexia!
I was thrilled to be asked to pair up with Sarah to co-create a space for expectant mama’s to come together to honour themselves with a gentle restorative Nidra practice, breathing exercises, practicing the power of chant, mantras and mindfulness.

🌀This half day workshop will cover the role of a Doula, how we support women through their pregnancy, birth and postpartum, open discussions around consent and making informed decisions, understanding pain, boundaries and how to protect your energy during pregnancy, managing anxiety, fear and worry and how to access your personal power to enable you to feel empowered throughout your motherhood journey,

🔆The day will include a beautiful womens circle, lunch and nourishing teas, a handmade gift bag with local products such as balms, teas and essential oil rollers. Helpful handouts, a workbook, pregnancy journal and digital resources to support you as you continue your journey.
