We will let you know when we have received RATS For children and what the terms and conditions are. Testing is voluntary, but a great thing to do to keep the kindergarten running smoothly 🤗

Rapid Antigen Tests For Early Childhood Families 👇👇👇

With a boosted supply of Rapid Antigen Tests now available, I'm pleased to extend the scheme of voluntary surveillance testing to children aged 3-5 years who attend an early childhood setting. It will help families keep children safe and make our early childhood centres even safer. Whilst testing won't be compulsory to attend an education service, we encourage families to participate in the program.

More than 1.6 million rapid antigen tests will be delivered to early childhood settings in the coming weeks for families to conduct voluntary twice-weekly testing. Sessional kindergartens will receive their deliveries over the next two weeks, followed by other early childhood services like long day care, family day care and occasional care.

This initiative, combined with surveillance testing for staff, improving ventilation, mandating the third dose vaccine for the workforce, and supporting more outdoor play and learning, ensures that our children and their educators are as safe as possible.
