I know there is absolutely nothing Filipino about these shortbread cookies. There is however, plenty of home in this.

💝Made for a local cafe who recently opened to host a friends international clothing line here in Australia. It was the perfect recipe to pull out of the archives for our new-found friend, local cafe and business relationship. Shima and - thank you!

✨I wish I can say it’s Graced Table’s very own recipe, though it’s better! The archived recipe is from our Greek neighbour, my theía. I fell in love with these melt in your mouth Greek shortbread cookies when they gave us some one Christmas-time 25 years ago.

If you’re Filipino, you might remember the OG Marca Pina queso de bola 🧀; and if like me, it may be nostalgic as sitting at my Lolo and Lola’s dining table with warm pan de sal and butter. 💞

✨If you’re here to make new memories, then this version of our ensaymudder is not one to skip.

👌🏼The ham is salty and slightly sweet; the cheese is creamy, salty, with just the right amount of bite. The ensaymudder is as you’ve come to know: soft, sweet and fluffy. 🤗

💞 This is year my grandfather - my Lolo passed away at a blessed age of 96. He was my Uncle Boss and to me, he was the inventor of pineapple glaze.

🍍I have fond and unforgettable memories of his pineapple glaze, ham, roughly chopped queso de bola and warm pan de sal. This memory is the reason we make this special pineapple glaze. 😋

🎁 And so, this Christmas Lolo Oscar’s Pineapple Glaze will be available for purchase by the jar in case you want extra ham sauce; or pineapple jam with warm pan de sal or even as Christmas gift.
