Praise God!! We are so thankful that we have been able to celebrate baptism with our church family.

Last month, Phoebe shared with us her story of healing that led to her baptism.

“I kept hearing inspiring songs and Bible verses and messages and it felt like God’s way of speaking to me. He was kinda like saying, ‘Don’t just live because you have to, live because you can,’ and I found my purpose and will to live through Jesus.” -Phoebe

This Sunday we are looking forward to hearing from our special guest speaker Geoff Shepherd, the Chaplain of Richmond Football Club and the Senior Pastor at Mill Park Baptist Church.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are postponing our "Parenting with Faith" night. We will confirm a new date for early in Term 4. Instead, we will be opening up the Kids Church room at the same time this Friday night as a space to catch up, chat and pray for our kids and families.

Does the passage from the Bible about "loving our neighbour as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39) have your palms sweating? Are you an introvert who finds this verse particularly challenging? OR are you an extrovert and getting to know your neighbour is easy for you? OR perhaps you have a broken relationship with a neighbour.

Jesus does call us to 'love our neighbours.' But this is not to guilt or shame some and exalt others. Jesus doesn't measure your abilities or giftings. He knows that God has given us everything we need to love (and forgive, if needed) our neighbours, all you need to bring is a willing heart.

Let us partner with you today, as we ask that you take the first step towards loving your neighbour, by praying these short prayers for the neighbourhood you live in.

CHURCH PLANTER POSITION 🌱

New Peninsula Baptist Church (NPBC) are a growing church of five congregations across two campuses (Mount Martha and Rosebud). We are located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

NPBC is a church that takes Jesus’ mandate to ‘make disciples’ in Matt 28:18-20
seriously. We place value on:

⁃ Vibrant and sustained prayer.
⁃ Sharing the hope we have found in Jesus.
⁃ Local and contextualised responses to needs.
⁃ A multiplication disciple making ethos.
⁃ Calculated risk taking and innovation.

An opportunity has arisen to plant a sixth church congregation nearby at a new location in Tyabb. We are seeking expressions of interest from potential church planters and are anticipating employing our Tyabb church planter/s 6 months prior to the actual Tyabb church launch.

Prospective candidates will be people who are self-starters, who can build teams, who communicate well in both one on one and platform situations and who have the heart and skill to connect deeply with those in the local community who are not yet following Jesus or part of church life.

As an initial step in the discernment journey, we are seeking your expression of interest. In one page or less you are invited to tell us a bit about yourself, your ministry formation experiences so far, and why you think you might be suited to help lead our church in this next phase of growth.

As we say farewell to the 2024 Olympics, we also look back fondly on the New Pen Youth 2024 Olympic Games! Congratulations to all our nations that competed in our games which included events like: Scooter Racing and Blindfold Pool Noodle Fencing. We can't wait to see you again in 4 years!
