Extension of the Temporary Graduate Visa (485) Post Study Work Rights for Higher Education Students

Appeal approved without a hearing

We are excited to inform that an appeal for approval of the
nomination of a position in Australia under reg 5.19 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (Cth) (the Regulations) has now been approved.

The appeal was for our client, as business in regional victoria who had nominated their employee for the position of a 'Retail Manager'. This application was lodged in the year 2017 under subclass 187 categotry.

The Migration Queensland (MQ) Program will open TOMORROW on 16 August 2022 with Queensland’s new nomination criteria and factsheets published on the MQ website (tomorrow 16 August 2022, not available until then): https://migration.qld.gov.au/

Skilled Migration Program:
Migration Queensland will only accept a brand new EOI submitted on Skillselect from the 16 August 2022, updating existing EOI’s submitted prior to the 16 August 2022 will not be invited. Please ensure you have carefully read and understood the new criteria relevant to your stream or pathway, and that you meet criteria before submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI).

This 2022-23 financial year Skilled Migration Program will be open to both onshore and offshore applicants, and provide pathways for skilled workers, graduates, and small business owners.

Business Migration Program:
The business program will continue to be open to 188 – Business Innovation stream, the 188 – Investor stream and the 188 – Significant Investor stream. From tomorrow, 16 August 2022, the new 188 – Entrepreneur stream will also open.

PARTNER VISA GRANTED UNDER SUBCLASS 309

This was an excellent matter that was lodged with minimum evidence of the couple being together. The couple were separated due to COVID and the only available evidence was that of messages (whatsapp, viber).

Once Australian borders were open to visitors, we lodged a visitor visa for the client and made sure she and her Australian spouse were together. Case officer questioned regarding the genuinity of the relationship as the couple have been separated for most of the time.
