This month, meet our St Kilda and CBD team! Headed up by our amazing Senior Area Coordinator, Gali, who has been with Fictare for over two years. Under Gali's stewardship, the St Kilda and Melbourne CBD area has grown to be a thriving team of diverse coaches helping many clients feel their best.

Introducing Carrie, our first sponsored athlete! 🎉 Carrie is heading to the Blind & Vision-Impaired World Tennis Championships in Italy next month! After being a long-term PT client, she has transformed her training to focus on tennis and is now the fittest she’s ever been. Relive the Highlights of Our Blind Football Session! What an incredible experience we had at our community day with St Kilda Football Club! Our Fitcare team truly stepped into the shoes of athletes living with a disability during the Tackling Inclusion program.

We donned Vision Impaired Goggles, took to the AFL field, and faced the challenges that our blind and low vision athletes encounter every day. The result? A powerful lesson in empathy, inclusion, and the undeniable right everyone has to participate in sports.

It's less than two weeks until our Community Day, and we have had heaps of questions about the Blind Football Workshop:

The workshop is a chance to step into the shoes of a person living with a disability or a support staff that helps them participate in sports by joining our Tackling Inclusion program. You will learn the importance of providing people living with a disability the right to participate in sports in an engaging, empathetic and fun way. With inspiration from the St Kilda FC Blind team, you will have the opportunity to wear Vision Impaired Googles and play AFL to experience the challenges our athletes face while playing the sport. Delivered by STK Education staff and Blind/ Low Vision players, you will be sure to walk away from this program with a better understanding of Inclusion in a practical setting.

This was Coach Ilona’s last session with Peter before he and his wife Lynne moved back to Tasmania. Peter was one of her very first clients, and they have been practising yoga together for almost 2.5 years. At 68 years of age, he’s super strong and an inspiration. Safe travels, Peter!

It’s time to shine a light on this amazing lady- the growth, improved self-confidence and progressions have been so unbelievable this year we just had to celebrate it!! Jo has gone from never running to currently training towards for a park run in the next few weeks (sorry Jo now its on the internet you have got to do it 😉).

An OG and key member of our track club, who pushes herself every session, while supporting and inspiring others. This is just the start of your wellbeing journey and we are so, so proud of you!

Our awesome Area Coordinator, Kanella, has decided to return to further education to become an ADHD Coach. This means she will be moving from her full-time Area Coordinator role to a three-day-week Senior Coach role!

We give our heartfelt thanks to Kanella for her dedication and energy in growing and supporting the Heidelberg and North Eastern Suburbs over the past three years. We are so excited for your new chapter, stoked to have you as a key member of staff, and look forward to seeing you continue to inspire and support our community in your new Senior role!

Matty is back at it with his Muay Thai and BJJ and is nothing but consistent. We love seeing your dedication, Matty.
