There is a nice little buzz going on in Barossa and we like what we are seeing. The region has been a standard-bearer for Australian wines for generations and their contribution to putting Australian wine on the map can’t be overstated. It has a unique relationship with the grapevine that stretches back to the area’s early pioneers and today, it’s as exciting as any region to drink from.

Join us Saturday for a selection of Barossa’s hidden gems and up-and-coming talent. It’s a wonderful selection of wines from the new beating heart of the Barossa.

DR EDGE - We had a visit from ‘the doctor’ today. A massive thanks to Peter Dredge for taking the team through his beautifully wines from various sites in Tasmania. Fine-tuned, pure-fruited Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier and stunning Pinot Noirs in both old barrique and concrete - the room was split 50/50 on the favourite of the two.

We look forward to seeing some of these in the store soon!

2020 BAROLO - New releases from are now in store and we’re pretty excited. The vintage was a return to beauty with great balance, elegance and gleaming fruit matching the classic tannin structure. Wines of true pleasure! 🇮🇹🍷

VALLI WINES - We have the very talented Jenn Parr from in tonight for a sold out winemaker dinner. It should be a stunning exploration into the depths and diversity of Central Otago’s unique and divergent sub-regions.

This really is the time of year to explore the complexity and diversity of the Rhone. The whites were textured and beautifully expressive, and the reds show the kind of purity of terroir you normally associate with Burgundy. This is the kind of ‘those who know, know’ producer that you really need to... well, know!

The rise and rise of South American wine continues. The icons continue to deliver some blockbuster wines at the pointy end of the spectrum and this is now balanced by a band of growing small, young, quality focused producers who are tapped into modernist wine movements across the globe and are looking to strip back oak and extraction of their forbears and exchange it for purity, balance, expression of site and more retsrained offerings. It’s not all malbec and cabernet either with tannat, bonarda and pais and many others to be found in the kaleidoscopic new South America.

So, what better way to take the temperature of South American wine than with a tasting featuring 20+ wines from some of this country’s most in-the-know importers. This will be a fantastic tasting for those already with a passion for these wines but also for those who are yet to discover what great South American wine is all about. We can’t wait to see you there.

MICHEL COUVREUR - Thanks to Cyril Deschamps and his cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen, for taking us through a range of their stunning whiskies. Every detail, from the barrel selection to the nurturing in their own specially designed caves in the hills of Burgundy has been taken care of. The results are spectacular. Intensity, complexity and an incredible marriage of the spirit with hand selected Sherry barrels of all origins… Wow!! A big thanks to and the team for brightening up our Wednesday afternoon. 🇫🇷🥃

SATURDAY TASTING - Join us Saturday where we have put together a handful of some of Tassie’s greats, established names, classic bottlings as well as some up-and-coming winemakers. We are also delighted to have some of the winemakers in store and it should be a great day to explore all this wonderful state has to offer.

Greece’s wine history has never been more exciting, as young, dynamic producers work tirelessly to master the wealth of native varieties available to them. Greece has between 200 & 300 of them, with only around 80 that have been bottled and sold commercially. Today, Greek wines are gaining recognition worldwide for their quality, diversity, and unique character. A combination of rich winemaking heritage with a new guard of producers strutting their stuff makes an even more exciting prospect.

Prices are soaring and great pinot at a good price is getting harder and harder to find. We tried an absolute ton of pinot to put these packs together. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.

It will probably come as no surprise that pinot is our top-selling grape by value and volume.
