Gray Court Pre-School, Mooroolbark

This term, our 4 year old Gray Court children have commenced a weekly bush kinder program at Elizabeth Bridge Reserve in Kilsyth.

Sessions are spent exploring this beautiful space, learning to look after the land, being out in nature and building connections within our community.

Our bush kinder program runs weekly throughout terms 2 and 3.

A massive THANK YOU to Daniel Bayliss and his team of wonderful volunteers, who so generously gave their Sunday morning at the kinder Working Bee to wheelbarrow, shovel and spread 15 (yes, FIFTEEN) cubic metres of mulch and 2 cubic metres of sand! The yard looks absolutely amazing! 🧑‍🌾🛝

Many, many thanks to everyone who gave their time, energy and efforts. We are very grateful for a kinder community who get involved for the benefit of our kinder, children and their families. Thank you again! 🙌

Last minute reminder - TODAY IS PHOTO DAY!

Come on down to Bunnings Croydon (Chirnside Park) today to grab a sausage and a cold drink to help support our kinder!

Gray Court Pre-School is hosting a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday, 18th March and we are in need of some help from our community!

This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the year, but it cannot run without the help of our kinder community and we need a few more places filled to make it happen!

We are looking for volunteers who can please donate their time for a 3 hour shift (or even split a shift for 1.5 hours).

Shift 1: 8am - 11am
Shift 2: 11am - 2pm
Shift 3: 2pm - 5pm

Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to help! Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, etc.

Meeting (AGM) of the Association will be held on Monday, 16th November 2020 at 7:30pm.

1. Opening, welcome and apologies
2. Confirmation of minutes of last Annual General Meeting and of any Special General Meeting held since
that meeting
3. President report
4. Treasurer report, including adoption of the audited accounts for the 12 months ending 30 September
2020
5. Teacher report, including information session for new parents
6. Election of 2021 Committee of Management and bank signatories
7. Close meeting

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please be advised that the Gray Court Pre-School Committee of Management has resolved for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be conducted electronically via Zoom.

Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: Gray Court Pre-School 2021 Information Night & 2020 AGM. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting. You are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Information Night for 2021 to be held on Monday, 16th November 2020 at 7:30pm via Zoom, due to COVID-19 restrictions. We strongly encourage all 2021 parents/guardians to join the session.

GROUP PREFERENCES FOR 2021

A reminder to our 4-year-old families for 2021 that group preferences for next year close tomorrow, Friday 31st July.

If you have a group preference (Red or Blue) please email [email protected] no later than tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that whilst preferences are taken into consideration, final group allocations will be decided based on appropriate circumstances, e.g. balance of gender and special needs across the groups.

If you do not have a group preference, there is nothing you need to do! 😊

WELCOME LETTERS FOR 2021

Welcome letters for families who have children attending Gray Court Pre-School in 2021 have now been sent. Please check for an email from [email protected]. We suggest adding this email address to your "safe senders" list or address book and/or checking your junk/spam folder regularly.

A copy of the welcome letter is also on its way in the post, however please note future letters regarding your child's enrolment will only be sent via email.

Please send us a message if you haven't received your letter (after checking your junk/spam folder) so that we can make sure we have the correct email address for you.

Yarra Ranges Council is upgrading the playspace at Luke Polkinghorne Memorial Reserve. Many of our kinder families use this reserve (and it’s so close to Gray Court Pre-School for mini excursions!), so we are sharing the link here in case you’re interested in giving feedback!

Help shape the future of Luke Polkinghorne Reserve We're renewing the playspace at Luke Polkinghorne Reserve, Mooroolbark and we’d like your feedback on the existing site issues to shape the initial design of the project.

DONATIONS

From time to time we ask our kinder families to assist us with donating basic items to the kinder.

We are currently in need of:

• Tissues
• Paper towel rolls
• Toilet paper rolls
• Paper plates
• Face washers
• Wooden baskets (without top handles)

We would be most grateful if you could please add an extra item or two to your trolley this week and drop it in the donations box under the sign-in desk at kinder. Thank you!
