The dominant issues for my clients in 2021 were primarily quitting ma*****na (I think I've covered all cigarette smokers now??? NOT!) and/or reducing alcohol to safe limits. Hypnotherapy for anxiety was another significant issue, with lockdowns a contributor to this.

REDUCE YOUR ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

If you are having problems with excess ALCOHOL consumption hypnotherapy is a very effective solution.

It is often said that as humans we use less than 10% of our brain... and what we know intellectually has little effect on our actual behaviour!

Our actions and thoughts are often not aligned...

The subconscious mind has a lot more power in determining our behaviours than our conscious mind.

Hypnotherapy can access our subconscious mind to reduce and/or eliminate habits that fly in the face of that which we know intellectually to be sabotaging our well-being.

The conscious mind (where our will power is housed) battles to impact the subconscious mind (where beliefs are stored) due to the Critical Faculty acting as a barrier between the two parts of our minds.

Hypnosis bypasses the Critical Faculty so that a reprogrammed subconscious mind can then be impacted by the conscious mind & the willpower can then be effective.

Australians live in a drinking culture: drinking to celebrate, drinking to commiserate, and drinking to relax and/or relieve stress. Being generally socially acceptable, drinking alcohol has an easy way in to our lives and when drunk in moderation it can be a pleasant experience that is enjoyed by many.

It's so common to go through life with a fear or phobia that you become resigned to tolerating. However this does not need to continue!

You can easily overcome fears and phobias with hypnosis. More than 10% of people will experience a simple phobia at some time in their lives. From elevators, spiders and birds, to heights, dentists and open spaces, there is nothing we can't develop anxiety or phobias about.

But you're not doomed to be stuck with them forever.

Happily, hypnosis provides an extremely effective cure for these problems as it provides the opposite of anxiety - deep relaxation. At the same time, it teaches the mind a different way of responding to the feared object or situation. Hypnosis for phobias works by detaching the stimulus (trigger object) from the emotional response (fear) and 'updating' the brain with a new, more realistic response.

We live in a culture where alcohol is the 'go to' for almost anything... be it a celebration, commiseration, a reward for achievement, a tonic for disappointment, a post work relaxant, a reunion & so it goes on.
There's always a good 'reason' or occasion to drink...and then some of my clients come to me having noticed that 2-3 glasses every night (+ extra for celebrations) has become the norm and they've hit the age where it starts to occur to them that this could pose a health issue if it continues as well as contributing to extra visible weight and a fogginess each morning.

Hypnotherapy has proved a powerful & effective means of living & loving life with whatever number of alcohol-free days/nights you choose. Two sessions is all it takes to apply the brakes.

When clients first come and visit many think that hypnosis is a strange feeling where you may not have control. This is likely to be the impression that you get from TV and Film. This isn't the case at all. In fact it is much more like a sense of focus where you just don't care what else is going on.
