The Altona North mobile library is temporarily closed.
The closest sites for you to continue to access library and Council+ services are at Newport and Altona libraries.
Our Altona North Library staff are being relocated to other Council+ sites.
Stay tuned next week for more information about the opening of the new pop-up, which will be in place while the library is being renovated.

๐ Drop-in Monday afternoons and explore the makerspace with a trained staff member. Try a new project or continue tinkering with an existing one.
Equipment available includes sewing machines, Cricut machine, 3Doodler Pens, Electronic Kits, Robotic Kits and more. Best of all - it's all free to use.

Medicare has helped Australians๐ฆ access affordable health care since 1984. ๐ฅณ
To celebrate the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care has launched a pop-up display in libraries across Australia to showcase the history of Medicare and provide information about current Medicare services available.

๐ Something exciting is happeningโฆ! We are launching our new mobile library at Altona North all next week. ๐
The mobile library will be located in the car park at Altona North Library and will be available for all your Council + queries and library needs. ๐
The car park will be closed to all traffic. Borrack Square shopping centre will be your closest car park.
This week, (w/c 15th July) the mobile library will be available from 9.30am to 5pm every weekday, Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 2pm to 5pm.

๐ To celebrate NAIDOC Week and as part of Warm Winter Read, join us for this special reading lounge and discover recommended titles.

๐ฃ We are excited to announce that Altona North Community Library will be undergoing a much-needed refurbishment. The library will therefore be closed from Monday 15 July 2024.
The current building is over 14 years old and itโs time to modernise the facilities, enhance our services and create a more welcoming space for our community. ๐

We had a very special visit from author and illustrator Lucinda Gifford yesterday who took the kids through a writing and drawing workshop and spilling her trade secrets!
One parent commented - "I learnt to draw from my father, and now I love seeing my children enjoying drawing too!" โค๏ธ
Our regular programming ends this week. It will return from the second week of Term 3, Monday 22 July.
