Next up is our high energy, fun loving Lucy 😍 from hip hop to Latin, to Zumba, to stilt walking, to working in communities with our First Nations- Luce can and has done it all. With countless years performing professionally, Lucy gives 150% to everything she does in life and that goes the same for Born To Boogie!
Lucy teaches Armadale and Yarraville classes and we adore her! Here’s why..

✨ Bootyshake- high energy but a little bit sassy

✨ “badadada tah tah PAH boom” chorey counts and “ Give me MORE FACE!”

 ❔ What’s one of your all-time fave dance memories?
✨ Performing at the Zumba convention in L.A representing Australia.

✨ Tour the world back up dancing for the Spice Girls 🥳🌶️👯‍♀️

✨ Hugh Jackman, because he’s an absolute icon 🙌🏼

 ❔ If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
✨ Bacon & eggs all the way 🍳🥓🤤

 ❔ What dance tip do you always love to give your students?
✨ More is more! Bigger bigger bigger! And just enjoy it 😍

 ❔ What do YOU love about dancing?
✨ Love the way music and dance makes me feel. It’s always been my happy place to lose myself in dance.

 ❔ What do you love about teaching for Born to Boogie?
✨ Seeing my students grow in confidence every week and watching them perform at the concert, crying like a proud mum. I love that Boogie gives anyone and everyone the chance to shine ✨

Now it’s time for Maddie! Since 2.5 years of age, Maddie has danced her way through life. As a professional dancer, dance has taken her all around the world doing what she loves with some incredible artists and shows and how now lead her to Born to Boogie.

❔If you were a dance move, which one would you be and why?
✨ Pas de bouree - because jazz and ballet is where it all started for me.

 ❔ What do your students know you for in class?
✨ Not knowing the word to describe a feeling, so I give a sound instead

 ❔ What’s one of your all-time fave dance memories?
✨ Touring nationally and internationally with Mya & Christina Milian.

❔ What song haven’t you got sick of no matter how many times you’ve danced to it? ✨ Crazy in love, Beyoncé

 ❔ Your dream job/career (aside from teaching for Boogie of course 😜)?
✨ Working with people in the mental health space

 ❔ If you could dance with any celeb, who would it be and why?
✨ Beyoncé

❔ If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
✨ Pasta and fresh bread

 ❔What dance tip do you always love to give your students.
✨ Release all the emotions holding you back so you never walk off the stage feeling like you could’ve given more. Don’t ever be afraid to get vulnerable or make a mistake, It’s just dancing!

  ❔ What do YOU love about dancing?
✨ It moves stagnant energy, It puts a fire in my belly and brings me pure joy.

❔ What do you love about teaching for Born to Boogie?
✨ Getting to share the joy of dance! I also love nothing more than watching the transformation of students from week 1 to the stage. To dance and to connect with community is to heal ✨

Renee is a professional dancer who has traveled Aus and the world doing what she loves most, dancing 🤩 She is one of our teachers for the Armadale and Yarraville locations and we are so excited to have her with us for her second semester, you’re going to LOVE getting know more about our beautiful Renee and the amazing energy she always to the studio!

✨ Performing at Rod Laver Arena for Meatloaf in front of 50,000 people

✨ Dancing on a world tour with Chris Brown / Usher / Justin Timberlake

✨ I’d dance a Rumba with Heath Ledger, why? Because YUM 😜

✨✨ WHO’S THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY?? It’s our brand new Boogie teacher Renee!!

For those of you who don’t know yet, Renee will be taking our Armadale 8pm class on Tuesday nights. Deon was to teach it, however an awesome work opportunity has come up for him so he won’t be available to teach those evenings. We will miss you Deon!! (And we’ll do our best to have Deon teach some short courses in future too 😜)

Lucky for us, Renee is a close friend and fellow performer with Deon, Maddie and Lucy and has jumped at the chance to teach for us!!

When I met Renee I fell in love with her enthusiasm and when I learned about her dance experience I was so, so impressed…

Renee is trained in many dance styles including Jazz, Commercial, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Flamenco, Latin Ballroom, Cheerleading, Basic Acrobatics, Zumba and of course Choreography. She has performed locally and internationally alongside talented artists including Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian as well as on stage for Meatloaf’s Last World Tour and the Good Friday Appeal with Todd McKenny. She has twice been a cheerleader for the Melbourne Storm and has choreographed and performed in countless corporate shows in Melbourne including P!nk, Michael Jackson, Rhianna and Lady Gaga tribute shows.

How fortunate we are that she wants to share her dance love, passion and expertise with our Boogie fam!

And personally, I feel so fortunate to have another incredible teacher on our team 🙏
