Hey Everyone,

As some of you might be already aware, the Deakin Dodgeball Society and the RMIT Dodgeball Society are hosting a collaborative dodgeball tournament. This tournament will be similar to the previous tournament we had with DUSLA. This is a ticketed event and will have a cap of 70 attendees, so if you are interested please ensure that you purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Medals will be given to teams who won 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Details of the tournament can be found below:

Open day 2022. A big thank you to the Deakin Dodgeball society representatives that were handling the popcorn machine. Really helped fill a lot of hungry mouths with some pretty good tasting popcorn.

Howdy. As some of you might be aware, the Deakin Dodgeball Society and the RMIT Dodgeball Society are hosting a cross-collaborative dodgeball tournament that is to be held at Deakin University. The cap will be 70 people and we are aiming to create 10 teams of 7. There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze medals given out to the Top 3 teams. We'll provide more details on how the teams will be assigned, as well as the tournament structure in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Dear Club Members,

As we are now in Trimester 2, it is time for the Deakin Dodgeball Society Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held. AGM’s are held to elect a new Executive for the following year, propose any Constitutional changes, review the previous year and plan for the future.

The details of our AGM are:

Date: 16th August 2022

Time: 4 – 6pm

Current members will have been emailed the Zoom link. DM us if you have nor received it.

The Executive positions that we will be looking to fill are:

President
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Events Manager


Nominations open TODAY and close on 13th August 2022.

Only current Deakin students that are current finance club members can be nominated for Executive positions. Nominations must be forwarded by email to [email protected]



Members, please fill out the attached nomination form that will have been sent to your personal email address, and send it back to us at [email protected]



The membership roll will close 7 days prior to the AGM on 9th August 2022.



Only current Deakin students which hold a current club membership for the required timeframe can vote at the AGM and all in attendance must provide their Deakin student ID or proof of enrolment prior to entering the AGM. Non-Deakin students which hold a current club membership are able to attend but unable to vote. If a student cannot provide their current student ID/proof of enrolment on the day of the AGM, they will be unable to vote. To be eligible for an exec position, you must hold a current club membership (commencing at least 1 week before the AGM, be a current Deakin student and remain a Deakin student in 2023.)
