Tomorrow is Swim Stars last day for 2023 and for those not aware…. It’s also the last day ever!
What a journey the last 16yrs has been and over 20 years as a swimming teacher.
I’ve taught children who have become employees & children who have had their own babies to then bring to swimming!!
Many lifelong friends made along the way too. The passion I have for children to learn how to swim and be safe around water will never leave me. But the time has come to say goodbye.
I will always have a rant about the man made waterways with no fencing, or the cheap pools people can buy without knowing that it should have a pool fence around it!!! That will never change!
Thank you to everyone who has worked for me over the years. It’s been a privilege to say how long staff have been with me and how amazing each and every one of you are.
To every mum, dad, grandparent, family member that has had a child swim with us, thank you for allowing us to teach a lifelong skill.
I’m full of emotions and could go on & on but I will leave it here (for those that made it this far!!)
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and bright 2024! Stay safe over the holidays, especially around water ☺️
Thank you 💜 Samantha 💜

Lest we forget 🌺
😢 Please, don’t let kids out of your sight and always have a responsible adult supervising. These drownings are just tragic.
ALWAYS SUPERVISE KIDS IN OR AROUND WATER, no matter how good you think they can swim!
The festive season has ended in tragedy with three fatal drownings, a further three significant incidents, and 48 rescues conducted by lifesavers in Victorian waters since Christmas Day.
With the mercury expected to hit 37 degrees today marking our hottest day for the year so far, we’re urging people to prioritise safety around water.
💧Seek out patrolled locations and swim between the red and yellow flags
💧Always bring a friend when recreating in, on, or by the water
💧Leave alcohol until after you’ve left the water
💧Actively supervise children around water
💧Check the conditions before you head out
We want everyone to get home safe.
Wishing you all a wonderful festive season with family & friends. Hope you get out and enjoy the beautiful weather…. Remember to always keep watch on children when in or around water!! Stay safe everyone 🥰
💜 from all of us at Swim Stars 💜
Hope everyone enjoys the first week of holidays!! Finally some nice weather 🥳😎🥳

This is a disgrace!!!!!!
Let’s advertise how cheap the pools are but don’t mention you need a pool fence for it! Yes it says it on the box, in fine print if anyone bothers to read it.
Anything more than 30cm deep requires a pool fence…. 30cm!!! Do not let family members buy these please, unless they are prepared to register with council and put up a fence!
Kmart is now selling an above-ground pool this Black Friday - and it’s so cheap The latest Black Friday Kmart deal means you can be relaxing in your own pool this summer - for next to nothing.
Moderate for us tomorrow
Light to medium rainfall for us.
Remember to put your headlights on while driving in wet conditions!!!
No surprise - Cottrell St Werribee CLOSED

About Us
Swim Stars was formed in August 2006 with lessons starting in January 2007.
We are not a franchise with multiple locations, we have 1 site in Hoppers Crossing.
Our focus is on teaching children from the age of 4 months water safety and learning to swim. All our teachers are qualified and dedicated to their job of teaching children. Our program is flexible to meet the needs of all children of all abilities. Lessons are repetitive to assist children in learning the skills, but teachers are also able to adjust the lesson if for some reason the children aren’t participating well with an activity on the day.
Samantha is the owner of Swim Stars and was teaching children at other centres before starting Swim Stars. As a child she was a member of the Sunshine Swim Club, so the passion has always been there. She cares about teaching children to be safe in and around water and helping them achieve their goals.
