Dear Valued Guests of The Vale,

This message comes with a heavy heart - September will be our last month of trade in Ascot Vale. Like so many others before us, cost of living increases and failed negotiations with the landlord has resulted in our decision not to renew our lease.

The Vale Bar & Eatery was our first attempt at operating a restaurant and we genuinely couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved. It was loved by many, and it will always hold a soft spot in our heart.

An enormous, thank you to all the staff who made The Vale Bar & Eatery possible both past and present. Without your hard work, team work and commitment The Vale Bar & Eatery would not have been possible.

To the wonderful guests who frequented The Vale Bar & Eatery, thank you. We genuinely appreciate you spending some of your valuable time and money with us.

To our friends and family who visited The Vale Bar & Eatery on numerous occasions, thank you thank you thank you. We can’t wait to host you again at our newest venue in the CBD.

As a thank you to you all, we would like to invite you to celebrate the start of our final few weeks by joining us on Sunday 1st September as we host a farewell party for the ages, and go out with a bang! – starting from 3pm until late, there will be discounted drinks, food and music all day long.

This is the end of something special but the start of something else very exciting. Something we could’ve only dreamt of creating when we first moved to 169 Union Road in 2021 and now our vision finally becomes a reality.

Introducing Hotel Nacional; A casual, fun, inviting, multi-story drinking and dining experience in the heart of the city. A venue that showcases quality food - a fully gluten free kitchen offering a Mexican inspired cuisine – and the best selection of margaritas and signature cocktails, enjoyed from our two sun-soaked rooftop bars.

We look forward to seeing you for one last vino in Ascot Vale, but hope to have many more nights together in the CBD.

The 2015 Virago Nebbiolo is one of the many gems on the wine list here at The Vale. Aromatic and spicy on the nose and then characterized by sour cherry, earthy notes and firm, ripe tannins the wine displays incredible flavours with a level of elegance.
