We're proud to announce that two of our experts were featured in an article on Dynamic Business, a leading publication in business and marketing!

The article, titled "Marketing without the thousand dollar price tag," discusses effective digital marketing strategies that can be implemented even with a limited budget.

Vandana shared that using data and analytics is important to understand your performance and to decide what to prioritise a limited budget. "Analyse data insights to prioritise budget allocation towards channels with the highest return on investment (ROI). For instance, if SEO efforts drive substantial revenue, consider increasing resources allocated to content creation, product optimisation, and technical SEO enhancements."

While Emily zeroed in on how content marketing can be reused in multiple ways. "Content marketing is a great option for budget-friendly marketing because you can create one piece of long-form content and reuse it in many other ways. For example, you can create a podcast and video the session to upload to YouTube. Next, edit the video into short snippets to upload as TikToks or Instagram Shorts. Finally, you can create a blog based on this content, and then shorter blogs or Linkedin posts about each individual topic."

IT'S NATIONAL VOLUNTEERING WEEK
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. Did you know that in 2020, over 5 million Australians (or nearly 25% of us) volunteered?

For we have organised a company-wide half-day of volunteering next week.

This year’s theme ’Something for Everyone' showcases the diversity of opportunities available through volunteering. After completing a survey of the causes most important to us, we discovered that food insecurity was an overarching theme.

We'll be attending FareShare Australia and volunteering in the kitchen. Our tasks will include a wide variety of things, such as food preparation, baking pastries and packing meals.

• Website visits/sessions 🡩 +40%

• Transactions 🡩 +107%
• Revenue 🡩 +96%

Let's see a few examples...

Ripe Maternity, selling maternity fashion.

In September, a record high in organic traffic was achieved as Google reindexed the website with its new structure and categories.

This means that Google can now better match Ripe Maternity’s products to searcher intent. Resulting in an increase in the number of keywords ranking in the top 3 positions on Google. In turn increasing the clicks to the website.

We've seen similar results with Photobook Shop.

Year on Year, traffic has increased by over 55% to a record high.

Jumping to a different industry for Exhaust Shop, we have grown their keywords in the top three positions by 23% and their Year on Year revenue by a massive 807%.

Yesterday night Emily and Mark attended the May SEO Collective Meetup hosted by Peter Macinkovic with guest speaker Brie Moreau.

Here's what Mark thought of Brie's presentation: "I found Brie's presentation interesting as link building is still a controversial topic for many."

"He briefly outlined his approach to ranking a competitive site, focusing on content, engagement rate optimisation (ERO), and link building. He emphasised using specific tactics like enhancing user interactions (clicks, hovers, scrolls) to improve SEO and advised on acquiring links from genuine authoritative, high-traffic pages, rather than relying on guest posts or buying links."

*MAY MINDFULNESS IS BACK*
May Mindfulness is a yearly tradition for the Megantic crew. We spend the month focusing on mindfulness and prioritising mental health.

For May 2024, we will have one group session per week led by an online instructor for a total of four sessions for the month.

Each group session will last only 15 minutes and will take place on Thursday mornings before our whole team meeting.

Here is the schedule for the upcoming sessions:
🧘 On May 2nd, we will have a Tai Chi session.
🧘 On May 9th, there will be a Breathwork session.
🧘 On May 16th, a Yoga session is scheduled.
🧘 Finally, on May 23rd, we will have a Meditation session.

The purpose of these sessions is to help the team improve their mindfulness skills, which can be applied both at work and in their personal lives. Additionally, for each attendee, we will donate $5 to Lifeline, to help others who may be struggling with their mental health.

For the fourth year, our mentoring program with The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School has been a huge success 💫

Six students were mentored by our SEO experts Kristina, Frezel, Dale, Emily & Xavier.

“It was so fulfilling for me," says Frezel Enriquez. "I would’ve loved to have this type of opportunity when I was in high school to give me a sense of direction for my future.”

The students had equally positive feedback, expressing that the program "teaches us things that school doesn't" and they "came out of this program with new knowledge and insights into the workforce".

We hope to continue our partnership with The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School and continue to empower women in digital in the coming years.

While we were at Retail Fest, we organised a dinner to meet with some of our valued clients and soon-to-be clients.

We know how important it is to get to know the people you're working with - no one wants to work with strangers!

We spend all day together but don't have that luxury with many of our clients, especially those who are based in other states. Whenever we get the chance, we make time to meet up after events or even travel specifically to visit clients.

The night was filled with dinner, drinks and laughs as we got to know each other on a more personal level, build trust and strengthen the relationship.
