As per the latest Victorian Coronavirus update we are back in lockdown for the next 7 days. Government has indicated that dental practitioners are authorised health service providers and are permitted to undertake procedures and surgical treatment in the management of patients with urgent needs that includes

facial swelling,

intraoral swelling,

facial trauma,

dental trauma,

significant uncontrollable pain

EXPOSURE SITES

Please check the new exposure sites that have been published online at https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/exposure-sites - and follow the advice listed if you have attended any. Many of these locations require you to quarantine for 14 days if you have attended during the specified times.

In addition, a positive case attended the Collingwood/Port Adelaide game at the MCG on Sunday, 23 May – sitting in Zone 4, Level 1 of the Great Southern Stand (the Punt Rd end of the stand). People seated in Zone 4, Level 1 – those with a bay between M1 and M16 on their match ticket – will be contacted directly with advice to get tested and isolate until negative. Further reviews of CCTV footage will be undertaken to determine if the advice to test and isolate will be broadened beyond this zone, and will be published online when confirmed. Some individuals with the closest contact to the positive case will be directly provided more specific advice from the Department of Health. Others attending the MCG not located in these areas will be advised to check for symptoms and be tested if any develop.
