It’s Monday morning , and look who just turned up!
Lucky we still have all the cut and print files from ‘07.
Next stop Phillip Island this weekend.
Anyone know where Terip Terip is?
We do!
Happy to have worked with Jack on his Super2 race car last week in readiness for this weeks Sandown Supercar round.
To think Signzone started the same year that Larry won driving the VP in ‘93!
We went on to work for LP supplying and fitting many of his race car liveries over the years and here we are helping out Jack with his latest tribute graphics.
As usual Peter Hughes and Creative Options made our job easy with a great design and ready to print art files.

We've pulled it off. The Ranger Raptor is officially .
Congratulations to everyone involved!
It has been a busy couple of weeks for the SignZone crew.
Wrapping the Finke Ford Raptor and WAU Gen3 Mustangs plus spares for this weekend’s indigenous round in Darwin.

Not the usual project that has come through our doors at SignZone.
Two years ago I mentioned to the guys at Tickford Racing we had invested in a flatbed cutter that would process their prepreg carbon sheet.
Fast forward to 2023 and Gen3 came knocking and we are now cutting the carbon panels for all the Mustang race cars including our WAU rockets which Tickford produce.
Today we completed a further 70 metres of templated shapes that make up the composite panels required to finish the latest generation of a V8 Supercar.
Very cool to think that we have had an input in the construction of all current Ford Mustangs on the grid at our first round at Newcastle in just over six weeks.
Isn’t she beautiful?
A welcome addition to the signzone fleet.
Looking forward to putting it to work in the new year.
Thanks to Scotty from CELMAC for getting it up and running.
One, two baby!
That was incredible.
What a day, what a result.
Endorsed by the Premier!
FYI - as well as the cars being redone for the weekend in our retro tribute livery we also prepped all the spares that you may need over a weekend of racing
2 x spare bonnets
2 x car sets spare doors
4 x front bars
4 x 1/4 panels
4 x rear bars
4 x guards
4 x skirts
2 x wing assemblies
Plus a box of spare prints per car for repairs.
All of which we hope are not needed.
Couldn’t be happier the way these cars have turned out.
This livery goes back to when I first hooked up with the Walkinshaw(TWR) family who were contracted to run the factory Holden team.
That was 1993/1994 and who would have thought I’d still be doing this gig and having the pleasure of producing our tribute to Holden for the Last Roar!
Thanks to Peter Hughes/Mike Simcoe for this iconic livery which even today has stood the test of time and stacks up pretty well when compared to other cars on the grid.
So full circle, and one last race meeting to enjoy before moving to the BLUE side of the fence.
Massive shout out to John CRENNAN, who back then gave me the chance which ended up being one of my better decisions to have a go in starting a sign/graphics business to cater for the motorsport industry.
Thanks also to Rob from Creative Options for coming on most of the ride.
Nothing is a drama for our little buddy who has a passion and drive for our industry like no other that I know.
WARNING: Will be posting up more pics over the weekend.
Nice!
Would there be any sign installers available tomorrow at the Gold Coast street circuit precinct?
Have a small one way vision job to (help) install.
Adding some colour and bling to the new offices of Walkinshaw Sport.
Happy Bathurst Day Straya.
Love this guy!

Here’s another one.
This one’s for the street though.
Same deal - original files from the archives, only we tuned this up to be a part wrap.
How’s this for blast from the past?
Client wanted a retro HRT livery on his track car.
All original cut files from our archives which go back to ‘93 when we supplied decals for our first HRT race car.
No printed graphics here, all vinyl cut as was the case back in 2005.
What a weekend in the NT!
Many boxes were ticked, some unexpectedly.
From disqualifications and a race win for Chaz, in flight and airport security breaches, and lots of laughs with some cool people that I have known for many years.
Darwin served up one with the lot.
This trip will be remembered most likely for the wrong reasons but in the end will make great fodder in pit lane next time we all meet.
Plus the cars looked great for the indigenous round.
Thanks Sleuth!
This was my first ever Bathurst trip, which in turn started my career in Motorsport.
The Lotus team was sponsored by Telecom Mobilenet who also sponsored HRT back then.
This enabled an introduction to John CRENNAN via Sue Cater from Telecom.
John gave me the opportunity to supply decals and graphics to the race team and the rest is history as they say.
So a big thanks to the Smith family who ran the Lotus for the startup!
I’m up the back on the laptop doing lap times for the team, with a full head of hair!

HOW A LOTUS HELPED LARRY PERKINS WIN THE BATHURST 1000 | V8 Sleuth THE early editions of the Bathurst 12 Hour between 1991 and 1994 featured an array of Australia’s leading touring car stars in some unlikely production…
Well, what a day in Australian Motorsport!
We have been involved in the industry since 1993 as a sign supplier and to this day there has been few bigger stories than this.
The Walkinshaw family were my first client back then and have been riding with them in a ’Big Red Car’ ever since.
Many Championships and Bathurst wins but that all changes next year when the team prepares and races a Ford Mustang.
Looking forward to the new challenges that will present at the end of this season in readiness for our first round in 2023.
It was an early start for the SignZone crew this morning to prepare for the massive 10.00 am announcement at the Clayton HQ.
❤️💙
What a great start to the weekend and a pleasure to produce these special decals back at the factory tonight.
The colour Orange is usually the exclusive property of 888/DJR.
So these orange decals were a pleasure to supply and fit to Chaz’s #25 for the next round this weekend in Tasmania.
Hopefully they stay that colour for the year.

This weekends results sure make all the extra hours and early starts over the past six weeks worthwhile.
Surely the biggest pre-season we’ve had saw the cars and all the spares loaded last Monday for the trip to Sydney for the first round of the championship.
A podium and a win for Chaz sees him on top of the leaderboard.
Let’s hope he stays there for the rest of the year.
Looks like we are cutting some Flouro Orange numbers this week!
