This week is STEM week!
We kicked off the week with a jam-packed STEM Assembly on Monday, followed by the highly anticipated unveiling of our new sundial. Senior Years STEM students were excited to formally reveal their analemmatic sundial on the Artemis Lawn.
To be located permanently in the School grounds, the sundial is the product of months of work from these STEM students and the wonderful Andrew Lee. There are so many exciting activities and opportunities to get involved in this week - don't miss out!
Happy STEM week!
In early Term 3, some Senior Years students travelled down the road to Melbourne Grammar to participate in a Model United Nations competition with MGS and Mac.Robertson students.
Model UN gives students an opportunity to extend their engagement with global politics as they simulate being a UN candidate for their allocated country.
Thanks to MGS for hosting!

Thank you for visiting Grandparents!

On Friday we hosted the last event of the 2024 Domain Cup...Domain Netball! The Artemis Centre was absolutely packed with spectators, there to support the MGGS and Melbourne Grammar School teams in the highly anticipated final event.
Following a close loss in 2023, the MGGS team were itching to get the win over MGS and came out strong from the very first whistle. The Year 12 team had a close start with the scores at 6-5 to MGGS after the first quarter, our Year 9 and 10 netballers maintained our lead throughout quarters 2 and 3, but it was our Year 11s who really pushed out the margin in quarter 4. The fifth quarter featured another Year 12 side to round out the game in style. The final result was MGGS 33 def. MGS 22. Go girls!
Congratulations to all MGGS netballers who participated and got us the win! A big thank you to the Artemis Team for hosting the game, Head of Netball Roz and Clara (Y10) for their fantastic umpiring and to the Year 12 students and staff both at MGGS and MGS who helped put the afternoon together (and to Issy Fletcher for manning the bake sale!) 🏆
Yesterday, we welcomed Grandparents to Morris Hall for the morning! Our Grammarians had a wonderful time showing their Grandparents around their classrooms and guiding them through some special activities.
It was lovely to see how proud our little Grammarians are of their school and their teachers. Thank you to all who joined us!
